I think I’ve decided to call this finished for now. I may want to come back to this sometime to add more pretty lighting or do a more detailed background but it’s good enough for now.

My main goal with making this is to have a more put together illustration to show my concept of Lilliandil/name tbd queen, because I have LOTS of sketches but nothing fully rendered. If I can manage I want to at least do caspian and rillian too for my own reference.

Also I still have resistance to calling her lilliandil but truly c.s. Lewis gave me nothing for this woman’s name.

I’m making an attempt to figure out what I’m doing more with clothes, so right now what that means is doing studies with clothing that is *close enough* to what I’m envisioning for my characters, right now this is young Prince Rillian (pre enchantment)

I also really like the idea of this sort of thing being in young rillians wardrobe, and I have an idea for sillhouettes and vibes for his enchanted/older selfs look but I need to gather more references/just pick one for his older self.

The problem here is that I wanna merge this look with something kind of along the lines of lothlorien or Rivendell elves. So not sure how that’s gonna look. I want caspian x lilliandil era of narnia to be this + VERY lotr elven vibes.

Here’s another Prince Rillian (captive version) clothing study while I try to figure out what the heck I wanna do with fashion with my narnia illustration projects

I know the shape language I want, big upside down triangle torso, skinny legs, long flowy hair and poofy sleeves (and young rillian is short hair and triangle right side up on the torso using capes)

ALSO???? I am struggling so much with what tone of black I want for his outfits when he’s enchanted. Because according to the book that’s his main colour but so far every time I attempt with black it looks so dull. I need something richer. Maybe if I use silver highlights correctly for details on the clothing?
