Donnie blinked at the creature that walked up to him, the eight-year-old not moving as it got closer. He wasn't sure what or who it was, but he didn't particularly like the way it was looking at him. But he didn't want to move and startle it either, although he was starting to feel like running away might be a good option.

Suddenly, hands scooped him up, picking up up and bringing him to rest against a plastron. Donnie looked up to see Leo, his big brother holding him protectively and making even eye contact with the creature. Donnie didn't say a word, not daring to interrupt the stare-off. Finally, though, the creature turned its head and walked away, and Donnie felt like he could breath again.

Leo kept watching, until the creature was far away, and then looked over at Donnie. "What was that all about?" he asked. "Are you alright?"

Donnie nodded, still holding on to his brother. "I'm fine," he said. "I just didn't know what to do. But I don't know what that was about. I'm not even sure what that was."

Leo hummed thoughtfully. "Well, I suppose if we need to know we'll find out. In the meantime, why don't we go back inside? I'm sure that with the prank wars ending, we're probably safer in there."
