tea really likes poking his canines for the sole purpose that it annoys him
on a similar note, tea often feels insecure over the fact that she’s the only dragonslayer without canines. laxus’s comforting attempts aren’t really comforting but do make her laugh
because let's be real "you don't accidentally leave indents in your tongue, so be glad" is not comforting
the only time he's ever really been able to comfort is her is when she gets insecure and/or self-conscious about her runes and lacrima
both aren't fans of pda, but when they are alone they are so touchy
tea often wakes up in cold-sweat from nightmares, and laxus is a light sleeper so he wakes up from them
he figured out that she just needs to ground herself to calm down again, so he normally just pulls her into him so she can smell him
sounds weird, but scents are very comforting to dragonslayers
this has lead to tea associating the scents of her teammates and specifically laxus's with her concept of home
when she takes jobs without laxus (often with evergreen and bickslow), she likes to buy rock candy since it reminds her of him. evergreen and bickslow will tease her relentlessly about it.
on the other end, laxus now really likes the smell of plums. though hilariously he won't admit it but tea and the rest of the thunder legion will catch him looking at plums when their travelling through markets and/or corner stores
no one knows it but laxus has a plum scented candle in his house for when they are separated so he can be reminded of her scent
even if tea is the begrudging mom friend of the thunder legion (opposed to freed, who’s the pushy mom friend) laxus is def not the dad friend
most of the time he is either subtly participating in the nonsense or watching it all go down
he used to participate more but tea can intimidate him sometimes and he would rather not be on the other end of her her annoyance
since laxus is a light sleeper, he will take naps when he can. often when they are over at each other's places, she'll sit on the couch/bed reading while he sleeps and uses her lap as a pillow
on the flipside, tea will nap anywhere and everywhere. if she can't use evergreen as her pillow, laxus will be her pillow whether or not he likes it. he's gotten used to it but still grumbles about it
even when there are actual pillows around, tea will use him as a pillow. they're sharing a bed? she's using his chest as a pillow
tea has a lot of hair. it can be difficult to manage at points, and laxus has actually been pretty good with helping her deal with it in his own ways
that means helping her brush her hair, putting it in a bun (a messy one at that) when she's cooking and it gets in her face, and brushing hair out of her face
while she can't use ice magic, among all of the strange magical items she has around her house, she has cooling paste that she will occasionally apply to laxus's thunder scar when it burns from over-use of magic
she helps him develop the dragon-side of his magic since he doesn't talk to other dragonslayers
she will not hold back about teasing him about the amount of women that swoon over him
in response he will bring up her "player days" and proceed to tease her about her record of dating ice/snow mages
despite her often extravagant friends (team shadow) he doesn't actually dislike them. yeah they can be loud and nari acts a lot like natsu, but none of them are particularly annoying and none of them are clambering him for a fight
laxus is the first boyfriend of tea's that nari has ever approved of. no one knows why and she won't say why
tea finds this funny and laxus can be smug about it
despite being the formal person she is when it comes to fashion, she will walk around laxus's apartment in his shirts because she likes how big they are on her (since he's jacked). she also likes his colour palette of shirts.
that being said she actively stays away from the few animal print shirts he still has in his closet because they are horrid
he keeps them just to annoy her and the thunder legion at this point
honestly the otp of fairy tail (especially the thunder legion and makarov) and people would cry a river if they ever broke up
no one has yet to tell either of them that there was a betting pool on whether or not the two of them would either date or just hook-up
they also have not been informed of the bet on who will propose between the two of them
