Mom is really scared. She told the Calix Order she would do anything to make Hope better. They said they were making a potion that could heal her, but they needed her to test it.
But I couldn’t let her do it alone. Hope’s my sister. We do everything together. I couldn’t let her be all alone, so I said I would do it too.
Mom didn’t want me to. She looked really mad, but I knew she was just scared. But I had to help Hope. I have to be with her, no matter what.

Today was supposed to be fun. Hope , Mom, and I were in the garden, and the flowers were so pretty. Hope was smiling a lot, and I was happy because she doesn’t smile like that all the time. We were picking flowers together, and everything was good.
Then, something bad happened.
Hope stopped moving. She was holding her chest, and her face looked in pain and scared. I didn’t know what was wrong, but before I could ask, she started coughing really hard. But it wasn’t a normal cough. It was ink. Thick, black ink coming out of her mouth. It got all over her hands, her clothes, and the flowers we were picking. I didn’t know what to do. I was so scared.
She fell down before we could help her. Mom and I were yelling her name, but she didn’t wake up. She was so quiet, and it looked like she wasn’t breathing much. I can’t stop thinking about her face—so pale with ink on it. I was so, so scared.
We carried her to the Calix Order. I ran as fast as I could, but it felt like I couldn’t go fast enough. We begged them to help Hope. They put her on a bed, and that’s when they told us.
They said it was an Ink Attack, an old evil Illness creation from a long time ago during the war with the Devil. It makes people hurt and damage inside the souls and cough up inks. It even makes them melt into ink. How could something so bad happen to Hope? Why does it have to be her? Why can we live happily for ONCE?!!
