long past forgiveness
for @faithinthefallen
Micaiah has never been one for déjà vu; well, not until coming to Garreg Mach, at least, and she’s unsure if repeating a year due to the collapse of multiple realities actually counts for that; certainly, she thinks, passing the training ground with a few library books held tightly to her chest, she has not something like this since Yune first gifted her Farsight.
It isn’t quite like meeting Pelleas and Izuka in the desert, for she isn’t drawn to the knight for any specific reason; indeed – his appearance is nothing extraordinary, she thinks, later, shelving the same books she had been carrying back in the library; presumably not of Fodlan judging by the make of armor and the non-church sanctioned circlet on his head, but that was hardly a surprise to see anymore.
He held himself like any other well-trained warrior. And yet,
and yet, she has the strangest feeling she has fought beside him before.
When after her trip to the library is finished she sees the knight is still at the training grounds Micaiah decides to once again trust an insight her mind cannot fully grasp, and goes up to the man – speaking only when he seems amenable.
“Excuse me,” she says, “I am Micaiah. From the Black Eagles. It’s strange… I am sure we have never met and yet I am almost sure I have seen you before. Might I ask your name?”
