Fakemon Variant
Fairy type Tynamo Evolution Line
Type: Fairy/Eletric
Tynamo: They have a gel sac that lines the collar of their neck, they expel this gel from their mouths and cover themselves in a protective bubble against predators and deliver a eletric shock to drive them away.
Eeletrike : Their gel sacks become more direct and focused on trapping prey by shooting the gel from their mouths then sinking their teeth into the prey, the gel can paralyse .
Elektross : The sirens of the sea, they use their golden yellow lights to draw in. prey then lash out with their claws or unleash a cloud of gel that weighs the prey down shocking them as it’s full of electricity . Once the prey is completely weakened the Elektross ethier devoured them on the spot or encases them in more gel to take to their den.
Note: Their gel can be used for multiple purposes , from skin care products once the electricity dulls to eletric proof materials.
Syrensire evolves from a form of Wooper that is water/psychic instead of water/ground.
They live in secluded cave water systems, relying less on their eyes and more on their powerful minds to help them navigate and sense food or danger. Its cave-only lifestyle has also purged most of the pigments from their skin, making them sensitive to sunlight. Their eyes are only known to open when using a powerful move.
Despite living in different kinds of water - fresh vs salt - they seem to get along well with Primarina, and their cries harmonize well
inspired/based on pink axolotls and sirens (the amphibian)
Mainly Based off a Role Play i created a Sneasel/Sneasler Variant in this Au.
It leads to a spoiler to the story that i’ve been lacking in writing but over time the Poison type Sneasels started living deep in the HighLands mountains to the point they became Cave dwellers over Centuries cause of reasons and slowly changed.
Sneasel : Cave Variant
Type: Ground/Poison
Over time their poison potency became null as they didn’t have many completion inside the caves for prey and their claws evolved to be more for digging then dealing poison, they gained venom to subdue prey they did manage to catch.
Sneaslers: Cave Variant
Type: Ground/Fighting
The tips of their strong claws contains a mild poison to stun prey while their fangs have deadly venom .
Their strong claws cleave away at stone and iron like nothing as they locate the weak points expertly to create tunnels and dens.
Ritual Variant Archen
Thought since i drew Archeops thought do their pre-evolved form
Illustration – Kitsunoh Variation (2022-01-01)
Design notes
This design is a variation on the fan-made Pokémon Kitsunoh, from Smogon's Create-a-Pokémon Project. My original intent was to create an original design, using Kitsunoh as an inspiration. However, I was unable to make the design different enough to call it original. Despite this, I am still able to share the design as a derivative product.
The central conceit of this design was to take Kitsunoh's features and make them friendlier in appearance. For this reason, I rounded out sharp points in the design. Places where I made this change include:
The markings on the design's primary mask
The mouth texture on the design's primary mask
The lack of ghostly wisps on the body
In addition, I updated the color scheme to fit. Places where I made changes include:
The irises (sinister red → innocent blue)
The sclerae (black → blue)
The masks (gray → light gray)
Lastly, I simplified the design where I felt it was appropriate:
I reduced the number of masks while still preserving the illusion of multiple heads.
I changed the body shape to be clean and lithe.
Inspiration notes
When making these changes, I was inspired by aspects of Japanese culture:
Since I settled on light gray as the color of masks, I drew additional inspiration from ceramics in designing the markings on the masks. Since Kitsunoh uses blue as a primary color, I styled the masks after blue-and-white pottery. However, I ran into concerns when designing the masks using this theme; blue-and-white pottery is associated with Chinese culture more than Japanese, and it is also associated with with dinnerware, which were implications I did not want. This led me to try alternate palettes and designs. However, I could not find a good balance of colors. Thus, I stuck with blue for this variation. Regardless of these concerns, there is thematic sense with using blue-and-white pottery on a Kitsunoh variation. The primary colorant used for blue is metal-based, which matches well with Kitsunoh being a Steel-type Pokémon.
Instead of the metallic strips, I decorated the primary mask with whiskers resembling shide. This change was made primarily for the cultural reference, but it plays into the original conceit well; shide are used to purify objects or, otherwise, to mark places of purity, which suggests that this Kitsunoh variation is "purer" than the original.
