Thankfully things weren't as dire as they were made out to be. I would like to remove my hiatus on Youmu Konpaku from Touhou Project.
Very glad to hear! Youmu Konpaku has been taken off hiatus for you. Welcome back!

It’s never really bothered her all that much before but being whisked to this city only made her even more distinctly aware of her deficiencies.
After all she could only get so far without knowing how to read.
“Pardon, I was wondering where to get food.” Children at least were more approachable, still filled with naivety that their God will bless them for doing the right thing.
Facing what might have been her worst fear was a concept which had taken some time to come to terms with - there were others. Who needed help to fight off the contorted rebellion, who could be in need of help - between the earthquake and darkness which seized the city.
She’d been taking refuge in a hollowed out shop, looters having pillaged most of its stock leftover from the quake, and clutched one of her guns. The BB which had been given to her first, inched closer from her arms pressed against her chest and waited.
Feeling the ferocity of her pounding heart against her ribboned wrist, she wanted to lay a hand on it, take deep breaths and count to ten. But the luxury would weaken her possession of the weapon.
The crunch of movement outside and she readied herself, one boot moving an inch away, and shot up, twisting in the same movement. With both hands securing the gun with less confidence than she would have liked and aimed at the passer-by.
Fortunate not to have pulled the trigger in haste. Because it wasn’t a monster on the other side of the gutted window.
“Are there any on the way? Why’re you out walking outside alone?”
