For a quick generalization, I see Thunderclan being more focused on making their bodies as weapons, honing themselves into living tanks or bulldozers.

Shadowclan borders on subterfuge, ambush, resourcefulness. They tend to use their environment more, making use of the battlefield.

Riverclan's main specialty is water warfare and camaraderie, fighting one Riverclan cat turns to two, to four until it becomes akin to waves continuously breaching the shore. They're all about flow.

And Windclan is almost like guerrilla warfare, hit and runs, they can afford it– more than that actually, they've practically perfected it. Their terrain doesn't make it easy to hide (Or does it–) So they don't, they scatter, they confuse and they'll tire other cats out by having them chase tails or run from their claws and teeth.

The biggest question is: HOW ARE THERE STILL 19 CHAPTERS?!?! Is this gonna be 19 chaps of guilt? Because I'm all for that but low-key doubt it.

God, amazing job on this, I love it so much. Firestar hoped only one cat died. Firestar hoped he wouldn't have to kill anyone. Only one wish got granted.

I am so curious how you all will take the rest of this book.

What I will say now is that this death was meant to happen later into the story, but we had so much more shit to write about that it ended up at the halfway point of a much longer book. We got a lot to cover, and I hope you'll like it!

God, it would be so interesting to see an outside pov. Obviously it couldn't be in the fic itself because it's purely Firestar pov and another pov might undermine the isolation factor but like-- I would love to hear individual's thoughts on Firestar right now.

We won't be seeing an outside POV, you are correct, but hopefully within these next few chapters, I can make it clear what everyone else is thinking.

This is really making me want a metaphysical pov of the Three. I just think it would be so funny to see their general thoughts regarding this. Also I find it really funny when dieties that are shown as powerful and seperated are cut to being mortal as hell

I can't think of a time in the future where I'll want to write from their perspectives, simply because they're gods and are meant to be at least a little unknowable. Rokhar especially.

Now, their underlings, that's a different story.

My prediction for next week is that it's revealed that Onion is Scourge's dad to everyone. The Aulmir, also majority fathered by Onion realizes that bro is mortal and Just Like Them with deadbeat dad so they beat his ass.

Man, something I really enjoy is just how good with younger clan members Firestar is. He knows EXACTLY how to treat all the kits/apprentices to encourage the best out of them and I love to see how it has grown over time. First there was Fire mentoring Cloud and him stumbling a bit, but after that he really grew into himself and knew exactly how to treat his siblings (even as apprentices!!) and now Squirrel too! I just love how he spent .2 seconds in her presence and just knew immediately what direction he had to take in order to help her be safe/comfort her 🐿️🐿️

It's a shame he's aroace, because he could have killed it as a dad, had he a mate or even been a donor.
