This is a self-indulgent rewrite/AU of the Warriors series. Creative liberties and decisions will be made to fill in plot holes, expand world building and ultimately have fun with this story.

To start off, I’d just like to say that if this is referencing The Post, I think my use of calling some of the Dreamzzz parents “Terrible” was a bit ill timed, (I was having Emotions and being some what overly dramatic to get my point across on how frustrated I am with the point I’ll be discussing). Instead of “Terrible” I’d honestly say a much better way to describe the Dreamzzz parents would be “Complicated” just as one catch all term for all of them. (Because, lets be honest, we’re talking about 5 to 8 sets of parents here and reducing them all to just one word gets rid of the fact that they are all very different people and sets of parents!)
((Additionally, a disclaimer: I’d like to mention I am very obsessed with my own main alternate universe i write in which is Heavily headcanon based so I might be minorly biased here even if the au is just meant to be an extension of canon. But again, I’m underlining this; Everyone is entitled to their own headcanons and takes and this is just my own ))
With that out of the way! Back to the parents!
Anyways, as I was saying, I think any discussion of the parents is complicated, very complicated. Take for instance our prime example; Beau.
Beau is/was a Villain, but he's also Zoey's dad. More often than not talking about their relationship with each other IS going to involve the fact that they were archenemies for at least two years of Zoey's life. Right off that bat any discussion of him as a parent is already Messy and Complicated, and him as a person? Even more so. But at the same time! He is trying now, he's trying to be a better parent for Zoey, and he's trying to be a better person.
So just saying Beau is terrible, without the complexities? To me it seems like a disservice to Beau's character and arc and I 100% extend this belief to all of the parents. Just saying, "Oh Izzie and Mateo's mom is a terrible person" (or whatever other example you want to insert here) without also bringing up the fact that people, and especially parents are messy and complex and their own people, instantly reduces these hypothetically COMPLEX characters to simple biases and hate.
And, (woah rage monkey alert) I'm BITTER that, more often than not, I'm seeing the fandom DO JUST THAT! They're reducing these characters (parents) that I find REALLY interesting due to the fact that they AREN'T perfect to just simply; "Ohhhh I hate them, they're terrible; Here's every reason they are-"
(Again I might have biased view here no one tells me anything)
OR EVEN MORE some of the parents they don't even bring up! Astrid's parents, Logan's bio parents, outside of canon I probably haven't even heard anything about Nova's mom! Even tho! They could all be really really interesting and complex characters!
I want to know why/see headcanons about why 'x' parents is like that!!! I want to know more/see headcanons about why Mateo's such a mama's boy, even after she left! I want to know/see headcanons about why Nova's mom does nothing despite the fact that it's very obvious to the viewers that Nova clearly (might) suffer from paranoia!
And Boy, don't get me started on Astrid, Cooper, and Logan's parents BECAUSE I DEFINITELY HAVE MY HEADCANONS! Like, from what I gather Astrid probably seems to like fairtales (pegasus, knight aesthetic) so did one of her parents used to read fairytales to her when she was small? Do they work at a library? And Cooper clearly enjoys dancing, did he used to do the little kid thing and stand on his mom's toes and dance with her? AND LOGAN! Did his bio parents die? Did they give him up for adoption, hence why his moms took him in? Do either of his moms like to game with him? Etc, etc, etc! THE HEADCANONS PEOPLE!
If we reduce that many characters down to just "they're terrible" rather than "they're complex" we miss out on discussions and fluff and (OTHER) brands of angst and headcanons. They're more than just "the parents" THEY'RE THEIR OWN CHARACTERS!!!! WITH LORE!!
Where's Zoey and Izzie talking about how much they miss their own moms and how similar and different they are from each other? Where's José and Cooper's parents being somewhat friends? Where's Logan's mom's and Astrid's parents BEING SO CONFUSED about how those two got together!?
Fandom people like Beau even though he was/is terrible and did bad things, but then they turn around and don't offer those same depths of conversation to Izzie & Mateo's mom? Cooper's parents? Nova's mom? Even Logan's moms who we know might be a little neglectful/busy? HELL! EVEN LUNIA!? Like she wasn't over there leaving Migo to his own devices and letting his feels fester and change him into the Nightmare King?
Gaw, anyway, I could go on and on and on about the Dreamzzz parents until I literally have to make a second post, but-
TL;DR: I think reducing any of the parents in Dreamzzz (even the ones we know have issues) to blank, "they're just terrible" slates is boring and misses out on bringing up the fact that being a Parent is complex and often times not easy. What's more only discussing the bad leaves out the Good that can also exist in relationships (even some abusive relationships). Maybe it's not all sunshine and rainbows all the time, but it also isn't just a brutal unrelenting hurricane
AND I REFUSE TO THINK that there isn't more to these parents. I will. Kill on this hill. Yes! Yes they can be bad, yes they can have flaws, YES THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT!!! But that's whyyyyy they're so interesting to me. They're not "terrible" (bad at being parents in some cases yes), but they're complex characters; bad and good qualities all wrapped into one package. And I'm peeved we sometimes only focus on the bad over the good

I love Jori with my whole heart and soul~~ I wasn't too too worried cause you've been consistently updating on kickstarter (I was too late to pledge but I love that you made updates public!) which is more than I can say for a lot of VNs I HAVE pledged for but it's so nice to have confirmation. EmberFate isn't really my usual genre but I think I'll give it a shot while I wait for my ghost boi~

For a quick generalization, I see Thunderclan being more focused on making their bodies as weapons, honing themselves into living tanks or bulldozers.
Shadowclan borders on subterfuge, ambush, resourcefulness. They tend to use their environment more, making use of the battlefield.
Riverclan's main specialty is water warfare and camaraderie, fighting one Riverclan cat turns to two, to four until it becomes akin to waves continuously breaching the shore. They're all about flow.
And Windclan is almost like guerrilla warfare, hit and runs, they can afford it– more than that actually, they've practically perfected it. Their terrain doesn't make it easy to hide (Or does it–) So they don't, they scatter, they confuse and they'll tire other cats out by having them chase tails or run from their claws and teeth.
