John Galliano Fall 2007 Ready-to-Wear

When I was 15 and first saw this in early 2008, this and Alexander Mcqueen Fall 2007 changed my life, or at least, suddenly propelled me into caring about runway shows, or gave me the idea that fashion was art and drama (but not in a diva-y stereotypical glamour way). I become obsessed with those style booties, and I declared I’d become a fashion designer. 

I find the article funny because it calls the models of the Gemma - Sasha - Lily era ‘blank’ which I remember fashion snobs doing a lot. Basically saying they didn’t have personality like the super model era of the 90s (this was also an insult on ANTM any time there was like a shy, smart girl, which I found deeply irritating - that or they were ‘elitist’). I remember when the tides changed again after them, so many lamented the bygone era of Sasha Pivovarova and friends. I haven’t kept up with models since before Polyvore shut down, but I imagine such petty insults are still happening. Be cool if we stopped.
