You’re sitting in your 2000s Tuscan home, The Sundays is playing on your radio. You’re sitting on your bed in your decorated room, evening light pouring through the window. The cinnamon roll you’re eating tastes heavenly, and you bet the hot cocoa and marshmallows taste just as good. You’re about to play the next season of The Vampire Diaries when suddenly your best friend calls you and insists that you watch it together. So she comes over, you two make iced s'mores lattes and snickerdoodle cookies, and watch it together.

TIS THE SEASON TO BE COZY: HOW TO ROMANTICISE IT!
❥ Write a diary.
If you don't already have a diary, what are you doing?! I buy a new diary every year (tradition that started literally only this year lol) and not only is it SUCH a GOOD WAY to see how much you've changed over the year, but also its just such a cutesy girly fun activity to do! You can light candles, play some soft music in the background, or go to a cafe to write. Diaries/ journals can literally become like your happy place! ALSOOO this year is almost at the end! Reflect on that, notice your accomplishments and changes!
❥ Take public transport
There is something SO downtown autumn type aesthetic about taking train or bus with your earplugs in. Listening to your fav music, And BONUS points if its a fall playlist/ puts you in that autumn-y mood!! Also you could take a book with you/ just people watch! 10/10 hobby highly recommend people watching.
❥ AUTUMN PLAYLIST!!
A NEED for a romanticised autumn. my autumn playlist is my everything for this season. Sometimes you can also go hyper-specific and search up names like 'Hermione granger autumn' or 'twilight season' if you wanna have a more specific feel/ mood. Whether its life of a showgirl, the smiths, lana del rey, sombr, rihanna, twilight soundtrack (ahem), a soundtrack to your season is never a bad idea <3
❥ Consuming media that set the mood
Best thing to do to set the mood and get u super duper excited for any season!! By media i mean books, shows, movies, etc bc that can get u super giddy abt the gloomier weather! recommends : gilmore girls, twilight, pretty little liars, harry potter, little women, girl interrupted, the secret history. Mysteries, romance and historical fiction
❥ Study
With a new school year is beginning, fall is the perfect atmosphere to study and make it more bearable. You could go to a cafe, nearby library or whenever the weather starts to become more cloudy and rainy, WHIP our your notebooks and textbooks, play some soft music in the background or just vibe to the rain and thunder sounds and study!
Apart from just school work, you could also get interested in a different, personal topic n go down rabbit holes. Art history, roman empires and old english literature definitely fit the season but pls dont feel forced to study something that you dont find interesting yourself!!! Instead find a topic that you genuinely get excited about <3
If you love fall (and of you don’t why are you even here?) then you’ll want to plan to visit Woodstock Vermont this season. Viewing New England fall foliage is a must every year and I personally believe that Woodstock is one of the best places to take it all in. The charming little town is just under three hours from Boston, so it makes the perfect weekend getaway!
I’m over the moon (the luminously full, werewolf-worthy Halloween moon, that is!) over this new Halloween fashion for kids from Gymboree. I basically want every piece for MYSELF, but since I don’t have a time machine handy, I know a few little girls who are going to benefit from my shopping spree. I’m not sure how Halloween designs can be this adorable, but…
If you ever owned a Lite Brite as a kid, you probably already know; the only way to make art even cooler than normal is to have it light up! Light Box Arts has taken this concept to a whole new level and I’m excited to have discovered their products. Light Box Arts is a sturdy 5-5/8″ cube, back-lit by LEDs. It runs on two AAA batteries, so it can be placed anywhere you choose without worrying…
