I got clever with the peas. I borrowed wire cutters from my dad, snipped a couple lengths of chicken wire, scrounged up some funky pieces of junk in the yard, and rigged the peas with that. My Sunbeam.City compatriots put me onto the wire, something I had, and which can be reused later. Biodegradable string is more precious than wire.
Part of an old crab trap and the wire frame that a baby tree came in were also rigged into the pea trellising. Anything I can make useful, I don’t have to haul out as junk, and there’s a good amount I’d like to ditch before winter.
