So you and Adam are back together or...?
"We technically never divorced. Plenty has happened but...our creation has us bonded. The attraction and pull toward him is still there and apparently still strong. Very strong. I won't speak for him but...I suppose we might be."

"I'm not sorry. At all."

Lilith sauntered over to Adam, pulled him into an embrace hello. She knew how much he loved being nestled in her breasts. She loved the feeling of his attention on them in turn. Pulling back, she caressed his face before leaning in and giving him a kiss, "I was thinking...how do you feel about a duet? For old time's sake?"
"If... if I sign your contract, it will mean the other sinners can't hurt me any more?" Adam asked, blood which was still brilliantly golden dried along his face and arms, bruise healing around his eye.

It was complicated. The man who raged war against his daughter's hotel wasn't the man that stood before him now. Nor the man that Lucifer had been fascinated by eons ago when he was still alive and human. Back when everything was new, he hadn't known the pain of being fallen, and there wasn't anything but love and curiosity among friendship.
It doesn't erase what's happened and it wouldn't be clean cut. There will be bad days mixed in with every other day.
But his longing and love for Adam has survived after everything.
"You'll be safer. Properly marked as mine and the threat of what it'll mean to mess with you." There would be arguments and fights, he's sure, by those hurt by the exterminations. But Adam had awakened as a Sinner. He was part of Hell. He was a subject. And not very welcomed in most places, so a win-win scenario for everyone around if Adam became Lucifer's. "There might be some bold asshats if you venture into the wrong neighborhood...but if you sign...you become mine...you'll be far safer than you are now. And should anyone dare to harm you, they will answer to me."
