sooooooo if Vox is dead and now in heaven, how’s he’s doing up there? Can he talk now? Are the damages gone? How will Charlie and Vaggi react that Vox is alive in heaven?
Physically, Vox is doing fine. In fact, he's better than new. Everything is fixed. Emotionally...
He's doing terribly!
Sure, he has his voice back and his head is back to being a fancy flatscreen with no cracks whatsoever. The wings are a nice little bonus too, but he'd sacrificed himself fully expecting to never come back. He'd been intending to finish what he'd started when he first met Charlie, aka 'let an Exorcist finish him off'.
His support system in Hell had helped to keep that feeling at bay for the most part, but he doesn't have that in Heaven. Emily tries her best, but to Vox it feels incredibly shallow and he doesn't feel heard despite having his voice again. It's not the same as when Charlie did her damn best to interpret his mute gestures and pixellated before they finally managed to learn some HellSign with any amount of fluency. When he requests to be put back in contact with his friends, Emily says it's not up to her when Charlie would've fought tooth and nail for it to be made possible. When Heaven's wide open spaces trigger an anxiety attack for him, not having Shock.Wav around to ground him makes it infinitely worse to the point where he blows out the power of several buildings. Turns out he still maintains a comparable level of power to what he had in Hell... and now even more eyes are on him.
Not fun.
Vox does manage to make a few acquaintances, namely yet another pink spider and an older deer woman who calls him 'sweetheart' and 'picture box' in an uncannily familiar manner that he does not have the sanity to unpack right away.
When Vaggi and Charlie eventually discover that Vox was redeemed, they're elated. Less about the fact that he made it to Heaven, they're just glad to see that he's alive. Same goes for the Vees, though all three of them are too proud to admit to missing each other. Vox reveals his survival to hell in the same fashion as Pentious in canon, but it wasn't sanctioned by Heaven at all and actually causes a fair bit of turmoil in the process, as Vox makes it his goal to force his way back to Hell regardless of the consequences.
So I guess for this AU, the first half of the 'season 2' plot takes place in Heaven with Vox, and then the second half is the political turmoil that his actions create.
