The Infinity was a busy ship, full of people coming and going, full of people doing their jobs. Cortana had data on every single one of them-- more on some than others, depending on their positions--and spent some of her time on the backburner reading through them. It was important to know the crew, even if her instability due to growing rampancy made it a bit difficult to run too many processes at once.
Hearing the door open in the room where she was working in one of the holotanks, her hologram turned to face the person who entered. It took a fraction of a second for her to pull up his name and service record, and she offered him a nod.
“Sir,” she greeted politely with a smile. “Is there anything I can do for you?”
