Day 11 of my #fallintoyoga challenge. Woke up today and did my yoga pretty soon after I woke up because my legs were aching from work the day before. My body is still getting used to physical labor. I went from sitting for 2 years to standing on my feet all day. My feet always hurt and my legs always need a good stretching, but it's good pain. I mean, I don't enjoy it.... But at least my body is finally moving again. My first day at Trader Joe's was great. Every. Single. Person. I met was so friendly and kind. I got to try a bunch of products and I learned a lot about the company. For example, none of their Trader Joe's products have artificial preservatives, high fructose corn syrup, or GMOs. They compost inedible food and they recycle everything they can. All edible but past sell by date food is donated to charity. I "learned" how to bag, collect carts, and eventually I will be cashiering, stocking shelves, directing customers, and unloading products. What I like most about Trader Joe's is their workplace philosophy. They don't have you do one work task for more than an hour or two at a time to prevent burning out the staff. They seem very focused on creating a positive work environment which is exactly what I need right now. I can't wait to go back tomorrow! :)
