Oh, wow.

So my playthrough of Hermann Gottlieb's Great Wasteland Adventures are going very well, but include a lot of mods (if you are planning to mod Fallout 3 please dear gods get the GNR Enhanced mod, I cannot recommend it enough).

Anyway, one of these mods is the Arefu expanded mod, which expands a small settlement in the wastes into a thriving little city with a bunch of extra quests. It's very well done, and very enjoyable for the most part.

I say for the most part because the modder clearly has some rather- I'd like to say ignorant, but at this point we are talking 'born and raised under a rock' ignorance if that is the excuse and not some very pathetic small minded- tendencies.

Like, there are two POC characters in the town, which is weird given Fallout 3's pretty widely multicultural stance- one of the most important NPCs, and the one with hands-down the most spoken dialogue, is black- and not only that, but one of the speaks in broken French and proudly announces she's a 'gypsy' and uses 'gypsy magic'. Seriously, I wince every time I see her.

And the number 2 non-white guy is a Chinese fellow who speaks in 'you no take candle' English and speaks of himself in the third person. And plays chess, but I'm not sure if that's a stereotype.

And if that wasn't bad enough I ended up roped into a subplot that entails exposing a guy for harmlessly and secretly enjoying a minor lingerie kink- you can cover for him but it's still deemed as something 'wrong' and 'dirty'.

Dude, whatever President Eden says, it's not the 1950s, it's the 2070s, move with the times, moron.
