Fanfic idea

AU. Cooper Howard is a massive movie star being courted the Church of Scientology. Lucy was born into Scientology and now is offered to Cooper as a new part of his team, to sway him to join. (You know, the same way the real Church is said to try and entice famous and influential people to join by showering them in gifs and benefits.) The job she is offered for is up to the author, it can be anything from babysitter to PA, porny or not.

Lucy is good little trooper at first, firmly believing she's saving Cooper, but the proximity to the Howard family - Cooper's relationship with Janey and, more importantly, with Barb, who he is divorced from due to irreconcilable differences of author's choosing (but please don't make Barb the villain, that's overplayed and boring), but still loves and respects (and vice versa), which is the opposite of Hank's and Rose's relationship - makes her slowly deconstruct.

But that, of course, means becoming a suppressive person and losing her family. (Bonus points for Norm deconstructing long ago but keeping his mouth shut for the same reason.)

I would write it by myself but I don't have the bandwith right now, so I'm putting it out there for whoever wants to write it. If you do, please shoot me a link, so I can read it.

A Ghoulcy Pre-War Fallout/Formula One AU

Chapter Preview

Outside the engineering office windows, the illuminated paddock stretched toward the waterfront. Vault-Tec's newest display cast a pale blue reflection across the polished walkways while television crews dismantled interview positions that would be rebuilt again before sunrise. Neither of them felt any obligation to speak. Lucy scrolled through another telemetry overlay. Cooper watched the graphs for a few moments before asking quietly, "Still Bahrain?" "And Jeddah." "Find anything?" She hesitated. "...Not exactly." He nodded once. Eight years together had taught him the difference between nothing and not exactly. He didn't ask another question. Instead he rested both hands against the edge of the desk, looking out over the garage below. "It almost feels peaceful." Lucy smiled faintly. "It won't tomorrow." "No." "They'll ruin it with race cars." Cooper nodded solemnly, "I've heard they're rather noisy." "They're impossible." "So I've been told." Another silence. Neither awkward. Neither deliberate. Simply shared. Lucy reached to make an adjustment right as Cooper reached for the wireless mouse. Their hands brushed. Barely. Only the backs of their fingers. Both stopped. Neither pulled away immediately. Lucy looked down first. "...Sorry." "You got there first." "No..." She quietly withdrew her hand, "...You were using it." "I wasn't." "You were about to." "I changed my mind." She laughed softly through her nose. "I somehow doubt that." He smiled. "I was mostly looking for an excuse to stand here." She glanced sideways, "...You succeeded."

Doing the same thing with the newly announced Fallout Season 3 cast that I've done with the Rings of Power cast: looking at which of the old cast members they are following on Instagram to guess which storyline they will be playing in. It worked pretty well for me with ROP.

Manny Jacinto is only following Ella and Aaron, so I'm guessing he's part of the New Vegas storyline, probably an NCR character.

Thomasin McKenzie is only following Manny, Ella and Aaron, so I'm guessing she's also part of the Vegas storyline. Maybe NCR as well.

Aaron Paul is a little harder to guess, he's following both Ella, Walton and Justin. But since the other two are not following Walton, I'm guessing he's going to be in the Ghoul's storyline. Walton also commented on his casting saying something along the line of: "I can't wait to dance with you cowboy", which also makes me think he'll play someone the Ghoul will meet on his way to Colorado.

None of the new actors are following any of the Vault actors, so I don't think we have any Enclave characters yet, or that the new cast will be involved with the Vault plotline.

Emily Mortimer isn't on Instagram, so she's anyone's guess. But I do feel like if we are going to get any proper Enclave characters this season, it's going to be her, but it wouldn't surprise me if they still remain in the shadows until s4. I also feel like she could play a pre-war character, too.

The writers are being so cagey with Cooper and Colorado. Who wants to bet that he ends up on the moon?

Barb and Janey have been in cryo at the enclave moon base this whole time, and he ends up having to use the space walk power armor. And that brings up more war flashbacks.

Someone needs to end up at the moon base at some point. They need to take more advantage of Amazon's money.

Today, July 3rd, marks 5 months since Fallout aired its second season finale, "The Strip"!! 🎰🌆🎲

And finally I am able to make this post with a different kind of update - Fallout season 3 has officially begun filming!!! 🥳🥳

Filming was confirmed by Dave Register (Chet), and is expected to go for about six months. Keep an eye out for updates! 👀
