Live Through My Failures and Learn with Me: This should probably be a series…
I was thrilled to discover the Falscara Overnighter. Being able to apply lashes that last up to ten days…whaaaat?! That sounds amazing. And the price, way cheaper than getting extensions.
Application wasn’t too bad. I’ve done the regular Falscara lashes a couple times before. First time was a fail, too much seal and they fall off instantly. After a few attempts, on separate occasions, I was able to get satisfactory results. I was very excited to try with the Overnighter. The part I was looking forward to the most was the ability to apply them a day or two before getting married so lashes would be one less thing I’d need to worry about on the day of.
The instructions seemed simple and almost the same as the regular Falscara set. However I open the Overnighter and it comes with almost a liquid liner type brush…the picture shows the girl applying it like a mascara wand half way up through the lashes…hmmmm. The section is saying to apply the Overnighter, there’s a little tip that says to apply under the whisps and slightly away from the whisp band.
Questions start to arise. Am I to run this through the lashes as the picture illustrates or only under and slightly away from the band? Is this under (like the actual underside of the whisps) and above the band or below the band on my skin? I have no idea, it’s black liquid with and liner type brush. So I try both ways.
Applying the Overnighter to the whisps themselves, they are no longer whisps. They look like clumped up gobs of lashes. The whisps come with individual sections of criss crossed lashes, so running liquids through them with a brush undoes this or creates chunky sections of lashes. Applying the Overnighter to the lash line itself seems more natural and doesn’t create the clumpy lashes. But I found applying this way doesn’t make sense because what is it really doing to provide longer lasting lashes when the whisps are attached to your lashes and not the skin.
Either way, the whisps were on now. I wasn’t completely happy with the results and the application process, but unless you stood two inches from my face they looked ok. I decided to keep them on.
Cut to waking up the day after application. It’s 5:30 am. I open my eyes and left eyelid feels a little stiff. Raise my hand to my eyelid and find the whisps are straight up and stuck to my eyelid. I went to check in the bathroom mirror but I’m not fully awake yet and the light is too bright for my newly awaken self. I snapped a pic on my phone and confirm the whisps are indeed stuck to my eyelid. I peel them off my eyelid and try to figure out what happened. They are not sticky feeling. I check in the mirror again now that I’ve adjusted to the light and they are still upward but now not flush with my eyelid, just sticking slightly out, but straight up.

Will I do it again: probably not, especially for what I wanted to wear them for.
