BMC Monthly Free Event
This monthly meeting will cover another Intro to gymnastic rings. If you’ve ever been interested in learning about a gymnast’s number one training tool, you dont want to miss this free event. I will be covering the false grip, locked elbow positions, basic and inverted hangs, shoulder mobility and strengh drills. As well as the prerequisites for conditioning the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, and scapula which all play a major part in preforming movements on the apparatus.
Started my movement journey as a teenager with martial arts (Hung ga) at Lam Tang Kung Fu Academy where I completed the instructors program and became a senior student with 6 years experience. After realizing gaps in my training I started lifting weights which lead to calisthincs and adult gymnastics with over 10 years experience.

Location: Oppose Gravity

THREE ROUNDS FOR QUALITY:
5 Pull-ups
5 False-Grip Chin-ups
5 Ring Dips
RESULT: Completed. Everyday practice is helping my pull-ups! Doing chin-ups with a false grip to help condition my forearms and false-grip pulling for muscle-ups!

I bought a pull-up bar! I'll write a full equipment review post soon, but I decided to address a couple problems head on:
1.) Long hours at the show (we left last night around 12:30AM) have made going the gym difficult.
2.) I am much stronger in pushing exercises than pulling ones, because I do them so much more frequently.
3.) I suck at pull-ups.
I think owning a doorway-mounted pull-up bar will address some of these things.
FOR GROOVE-GREASING:
Pull-ups
Chin-ups
False-Grip Neutral Chin-ups
RESULT: Completed. LOVE THIS already.
Developing the False Grip Next to Ring Hand Stand Push Ups, Muscle Ups are my weakest body weight movement. I’m going to start implementing the advice on this video and see what happens. (Thanks to Rogue Fitness for sharing on their Facebook wall)
