Luminous Cloth

The bespoke textiles of Fameed Khalique open the creative dialogue between innovation, craftsmanship and unfettered imagination.  

The contemporary Copper Fabrics series represents a form of metal lace that blends artisanship with industrial materials. The jacquard machine magically weaves and transforms materials such as varnished copper, silver, and fishing line into masterful works that capture and play with light.

The luminous cloth has a beautiful haute couture quality. Its exclusive and edgy appeal stirs curiosity for new potential. It may be imagined into wall panels, screens, or as an inset into fine furniture. As trapped behind glass the brilliant weave would create nothing less than an extraordinary backsplash or an impressive free-floating art piece.
