These are examples of being a survivor of this chaos. This work chose me for this reason. It’s not pleasant and it is painful, but for so many years I believed a narrative that was so self-degrading. As we connect to wonderful mental professionals and survivors, we begin to understand that abuse and toxic systems are prevalent and palpable. I get it.
