Welcome to the official Heartless The Musical blog!

We’re a student group working together to write a musical based on Marissa Meyer’s book, Heartless. For anyone unfamiliar with it, Heartless is a fairytale retelling of Alice in Wonderland and the origin story of the Queen of Hearts.

The musical we’ve written includes 14 songs, 22 characters + ensemble, and is 117 pages total!

On this account we want to share it all with you, video performances, rehearsal sneak peaks, song recordings, and script.

will your songs be released on spotify?

To quote our music director, “Lol maybe I guess you’ll have to see lol”

We would love to release our songs on Spotify! It is a goal of ours, but we won’t know for sure until after the show, cause right now our goal is just putting it on.

Are you planning to record and upload the musical? I'd love to see it but I don't think I can go in person. Good luck with the musical!

We are indeed planning to record and upload! We also hope to have a live digital audience, but don’t exactly know what the specs of that will be like atm, so stay tuned.

when are you guys going to release the promo pictures or maybe some bigger cast photos I would really like to make edits. It looks awesome and it's my favorite book

First of all, we would love to see that. The mere fact that people want to make edits of us is…iNsAnE 🥴

Second of all, thank you!! We’re excited to share!

Now to answer your question: Full cast promo photos will come out once we have completed costumes. Our costumer is working super hard to get some pretty sick costumes done.

BUT. We do have some very cool promos of Cath in her wedding dress on our Instagram, @/heartless.musical. We also have a few, very dumb, pictures of the cast fooling around.
