-Ocean & Noel: sibling rivalry. Most of the time the animosity and aggression is genuine, though, so they're kind of bad terms. Used to be good friends. They make each other laugh sometimes

-Ocean & Misha: mutual dislike. It's a secret, but Ocean doesn't wanna admit that she actually kind of admires Misha's careless attitude because she's starting to dislike being so uptight

-Ocean & Ricky: awkward patronization. Ocean genuinely thinks she's doing good things for Ricky, but Ricky knows some of the thoughts she actually thinks of him, so he's wary

-Ocean & Penny: mutual strangers. Penny was invited in the choir by Ocean, but the latter doesn't remember that. Penny obviously knows who Ocean is, but she doesn't care for her much

-Ocean & Constance: BFFs? They love each other dearly, but Constance is sick of Ocean's views of most people and things. She wants them to have other friends, but both of them are too scared to try

-Noel & Misha: not strangers, not friends. They pass by each other when they go home from school. Sometimes they talk, sometimes they don't

-Noel & Ricky: occasional chatterers. They like to tell each other their daydreams, because it's fun when either of them add on to the other's story. Their parents are also friends, so yeah

-Noel & Penny: one-sided interest. Penny would like to be friends with Noel because he kind of reminds her of Ezra, but Noel doesn't even know she exists

-Noel & Constance: close friends. They used to have some sort of weird trio with Ocean, but it was gone in 8th grade. Noel and Constance still talk about Ocean when she isn't there

-Misha & Ricky: good friends. They were each other's first genuine friend, and now they spend most of the week together, chatting about almost everything

-Misha & Penny: mutual strangers. Misha finds Penny a bit creepy, but he doesn't even know her name. Penny is wary of Misha because he looks like he'd punch random people in the face

-Misha & Constance: good friends. Misha visits the Blackwood Cafe when he feels like it, and Constance asks him about his rap songs and his long-distance girlfriend

-Ricky & Penny: mutual interest. They'd like to be each other's friend, but they don't have free time to actually strike up a conversation with one another

-Ricky & Constance: good friends. Ricky likes to show/tell her his Space Age Bachelor Man stories, and Constance eats it up every time. They like to search random things up on the internet too

-Constance & Penny: one-sided interest. Penny is interested in becoming friends with Constance because she seems approachable, but Constance is a bit intimidated by Penny

i have stumbled across another musical you might enjoy (when you've got the chance ofc no rush ever)

it's called next to normal and ivr mentioned it before but now ive had Thoughts and i believe you'd like a lot of the stuff they do with the music,, the story doesn't get fully across when you just listen to it because there's dialogue between some songs but that's like. i don't think? you would care that much? it's still neat and the story's cool but i just. think you'd like the way they work with the music in particular. really good stuff..Themes
