Just made up Nepeta's denizen, Bastet

Yes, it has 2 mouths, shoulda opened the other one too bc it looks like a double chin.

I know someone like freyja or aphrodite would've worked too, but hey, Bastet is a cat goddess!

Some fan denizen designs because I will take any opportunity to draw cool monsters The first is Hodr, with a mane of mistletoe to represent the popular story of his death, and a tree-like body in reference to mistletoe's nature as a hemiparasitic plant. He can pull the arrow out of his chest and launch it with the string strung through his beak and the arrow in his neck. The second is Nike, who's head is a statue torso in reference to the famous marble statue depicting her. Her tail is tufted laurel leaves with pomegranates growing from it.

here's Feansa's Denizen "Erinyes" the goddess of Vengeance, i was originally thinking of making this be Arorun's Denizen since Erinyes is a rage aspect based denizen, but since Feansa has an alter ego called "The Purple Fury" based on the Furies/Erinyes.

What's the deal with Psyche being so cold?

Psyche’s a bitch because she got treated horribly by Aphrodite. She’s finally letting out the pent-up anger on Middy, who is in the same position she was in when she went to get help from Aphrodite.

On first meeting, Psyche tears Middy’s clothes, bashes her head into the ground, and mocks her for her mistake of entering the game. Middy barely survives the encounter physically and emotionally.

On second meeting, Middy tries to step up to Psyche and that’s when Psyche gives her mini exposition on how Middy’s too blind to love someone, meaning she hasn’t done what she did. In the myth of Eros (Cupid) and Psyche, Psyche does whatever she can to find her love, even going to Aphrodite who tortures her and forces her to go through four seemingly impossible tasks. This is all for Eros, Psyche’s husband. It’s also a bit of a connection to how Middy also needs glasses (physically and metaphorically) but never wears them.

Middy then starts her “tasks”. She puts her life on the line to save her consorts, do whatever she can to help her friends, and finally, save her planet. 

And to save her planet, Middy’s given The Choice. She’s asked which part of her planet is better: the hot magma volcano side or the chilling argon volcano side. Both choices are wrong. Middy has to push herself to realize that the real choice is a hidden third one - both sides are equal. Without one, the other is meaningless. 

This all occurs after Middy goes awol, trying to escape the reality of an incident involving the Alpha boys, TD and Mikey. Shit’s going down and Middy hid in the core of her planet, where Psyche lays. Psyche mistreats her again. Burns her, freezes her, freezes her again, and burns her once more. And Middy finally steps up and calls Psyche out. She’s figured it out. She’s found that third choice.

And when Middy makes her decision, Psyche leads the frustrated, injured girl to a stage-like area in her domain, the location being the actual core. There’s burned and frozen flowers lining the edge of this stage and there’s also a chair and a cello in the center. The core-stage is dark and quiet. It’s almost as if it’s dead. Psyche forces her to Play the Volcanoes. Playing the Volcanoes is the only way Middy can physically save her planet, saving the core and all. Middy plays the song with Psyche watching, judging, observing every move Middy makes when she plays.

After the song is played and Middy’s planet is halfway saved, Middy’s cello and chair disappears and she’s left sitting on this stage. Psyche pulls a lever and Middy falls. She falls and falls and... SMACK. She lands on her questbed, which is a good distance under the stage. The impact kills Middy and she ascends. The ascension is the other half to saving Middy’s planet and after this, Psyche is finally warm towards Middy.

And now a fully ascended Witch of Heart, Middy’s new job is revealed when she goes back to the problem she tried escaping - TD and Mikey. Will I reveal that to you guys? Not now, but soon. :3c
