please read!! - a fanboost experiment
so, we all know how fanboost is rumoured to be rigged, right?
well, i (with some help from the amazing @k-raikkonen) came up with an experiment to test if fanboost is really rigged.
we need your help so if you’d like to help keep reading below and reblog this and share around! we appreciate all the help we can get and i’d also appreciate if you don’t spread this outside of tumblr, thank you :)
warning: this experiment isn’t fullproof, it may or may not work, but i’m just gonna give it a shot!
when the vote opens for race 3 (santiago e-prix) in january, we’re all gonna vote as much as possible from every method possible for oliver turvey, an extremely underrated driver and someone who never does well in fanboost (he was last in R1 and second last in R2 😔).
we’ll see how much difference this makes, and hopefully he’ll get the fanboost (if we’ve made enough of an impact!). even if he doesn’t end up with fanboost, an increase in the percentage of the votes he has will also be good.
the outcome of the fanboost will kinda give us a rough idea of whether fanboost is rigged, because if the percentage of the vote that he has doesn’t increase despite more people voting for him, we know that something is up with fanboost. for reference, he had 0.25% of the vote in R1 and 0.16% of the vote in R2. an increase from that will show that fanboost is genuine because it takes an actual increase of votes into consideration in the percentages.
different voting methods are available:
via tweeting on twitter “#FANBOOST #OliverTurvey” or “#FANBOOST @OliverTurvey” (in our case!). your twitter account must be public for your vote to count.
via voting online at https://fanboost.fiaformulae.com/ using weibo, twitter, apple or facebook login. this can also be accessed via the formula e website and app.
you can vote once per day per vote method, and a day is based upon midnight to midnight UTC time. voting opens 6 days before the race and ends 15 minutes into the race.
vote for oliver turvey in fanboost as much as you can for race 3, the santiago e-prix! voting begins 6 days before the race on monday, 13 january 2020!
i hope you’ll play your part :))
