From Time } SooJoo X Soohyuk
The streets of Seoul city were crowded as usual, something that Soo was all too familiar with. While most people that weren't from the city might have been put off or uneasy about the amount of people, she wasn't. Perhaps that what living in New York City did to her, made her immune to excessive amounts of people. With the her scarf wrapped tightly around her head and neck, she quietly cursed the cold weather she was being forced to endure. Living in California for so long had spoiled her, because her ability to tolerate the cold weather had dwindled so much. Even while residing in New York, she'd had a habit of staying inside during the cold weather unless she was bundled from head to toe. Letting out a bit of a childish huff as she crossed the busy street, she was thankful that her destination was only a few feet away.
Photo shoots in South Korea were no new thing to her, having already become quite the international face, she was used to going anywhere she needed for a shoot. However, what was surprising to her was how last minute the call was. Just as she was on her way back home to the states, she'd gotten a call to come in to a shoot because the model they'd had before had broken something or other on her body. And while she had been quite content with the idea that she'd finished all her work for 2013, she was by no means going to complain. Besides, what harm was one more shoot going to do her? Not like she had much more to do with her time at the moment, anyway.
Reaching the entrance of the building that her agent had given her the address to, she pushed the button and bounced on her toes while waiting to be buzzed in. Swinging open the glass door as soon as the buzzer sounded, she slipped inside and climbed up the steps two at a time. The sound of loud music played from the studio room on the second level and she couldn't help feeling like she was going to like the atmosphere already. As soon as she reached the top step, she was greeted by various pairs of hands slipping her out of her coat and leading her towards the makeup chair. They chattered nonstop as she merely smiled and nodded, trying to keep up with what they were saying. And just as she was about to open her mouth in reply to them, an almost familiar face appeared in the mirror and she quickly turned around in the seat.
It wasn't a face that she'd seen recently, at least not in the flesh, but it surely wasn't one that could easily be forgotten. When she was younger and lived in Korea, she'd had a friend, a certain Lee Soohyuk. 50% best friend, 50% partner in crime, all around pain in her ass. When she'd moved, they had kept in touch for a few months before they drifted and eventually stopped speaking. And as they got older, they both rose to fame in their own ways, but never crossed paths. And she had been sure she'd just be admiring and wishing him well from a distance, that was, until this very moment. Quickly standing from her chair, she looked at him, staying silent for a moment before smiling slightly. "Long time no see, Penguin." The not-so affectionate nickname she'd given him when they were children.
