Actually for a long time (before CQL aired), the MDZS fandom would use a lot "wo de tian". If you go back enough in the MDZS fics on ao3 you will notice some have the tag "contain wo de tian - holy shit" because that's what everyone was using instead of "oh my god" and the like. But it just disappeared one day, everyone stopped using it, and I have no idea why. It be like that sometimes I guess? Expressions fall out of use in fandom? I wish it didn't tho, for the same reasons as you.
Yeah I think it’s still common in cnovel/cnovel-primary fandoms! I see it a lot on twitter still. tbh I think there is a lot of... En-fandom coming into CQL bias, maybe, bc I feel like people who are going into the novel fandoms... tend to get more cultural notes than ppl coming into it from the show(s) do? I do think it’s a lot more of the recent fic I’m seeing that do it, but I am also. seeing it a Lot :’) and not just in CQL fic, also in fics that are tagged with MDZS, and in SV fic
but I’m kind of glad to know I’m not the only one who feels this way about “gods”/”heavens” lol, I’m glad to know I’m not alone :’D
