on a side note there's a kind of "what were YOU doing at the devil's sacrament" in regards to DA that I think we're going to see with BG3
like it's now common and popular to make fun of old DA fandom as "lol those nerds who were super mad about wizards vs knights drama" but the reality is most of the fandom took part in the wizards vs knights drama and some people were indeed very intense
in a few years people will be joking about "people arguing about squids and vampires", having gained the self-awareness of how stupid their behaviour was. but none of them will own up to having been perpetuators of the discourse. it'll have just become retroactively cringe while here in this moment you have people acting like your perspective on a character is a moral crusade
I'm just gonna sit here and watch the same tired shit happen again and then watch all of you pretend like you were so above it while still doing it in whatever new fandom exists at that point lol
