There are so many replies and comments on the possibility of creating a meta website! I'm reminded of what creative, brilliant and funny people make up this fandom! You all rock! I do tend to agree, sadly, that this would probably be more of a fandom project and not something that would reach TPTB (esp. since the writers cannot read fanfic or speculation from what I gather) or that it would have any kind of impact if it did. And, if this is a fandom meta platform is tumblr actually the thing being described? Not that we shouldn't tackle the project! Quite the opposite! I think we need something like a website for fandom meta and reviews that is less scary to outsiders than the untamed jungles of tumblr. Bridging the gap between those who like the show and those in the fandom would be a great project! I'd also like to make a push for taking fan fiction to the next level: ie writing and filming fan-made spinoffs or shorts or anything of the sort! We have the potential to create some great things! But unless a major writer and network overhaul happens, as far as changing the game for SPN itself, I don't think we're going to have very much success. We're a bunch of determined individuals camped out trying to figure out how to challenge powers beyond our control and OH MY GOD WE'RE LIVING IN FANDOM END!VERSE. Think about it! We're fighting a powerful adversary (perhaps only truly an asversary in our minds) that's wearing the face of the show we love and we can't do anything about it so we're setting up our own little Camp Chitaqua and we're going out defiantly and we're ultimately going to have our heads stomped on by the show. Ummmm...well this post ended differently than it started.
So I feel like simultaneously, all around the world, we had thousands of people start screaming about the Sherlock trailer.
