Have you convinced anyone to play yttd?

YEAH LMAO I’ve gotten at least 4 of my irl friends to play yttd, and several of them haven’t played it but know a lot about it simply because there was a long period of time when I didn’t have Tumblr and thus refused to shut up about it in the group discord server.

do you prefer art, story, or game play in visual novels?

definitely story, and by extension the strength of the characters!! if i’m being honest, when i first started playing yttd i’d heard good things about it but the lackluster graphics and minimal gameplay mechanics were beginning to test my patience. i honestly just wasn’t vibing with the game all that much, but because i was playing with some friends watching i felt obligated to continue. i played until the end of chapter 1, when joe died, and that was when i realized it was a really, REALLY good game. like... my blog header doesn’t lie, i think i cried for at least an hour because i’d formed such an emotional attachment to joe and his death hit me so hard. but i probably wouldn’t have kept playing had it not been for how emotional joe’s death made me, because i was hooked asf on the story and characters. and they’re the main reason i literally never shut up about this game!! so, although bad art or gameplay can be a little disheartening at the beginning, a strong story and characters at the core are what i’m in it for :)

2. actually not black coffee, i usually have about a teaspoon of sugar and a little bit of milk in it (and the cups i usually drink from can contain like 1.5-2 cups’ worth of coffee). still have a caffeine addiction tho lmao

3. OMG YEAH though it was in very?? i guess specific aspects? for example i know absolutely nobody who actually knew the rules of the pokémon card game but i knew the rules and i was obsessed w it, i was in a theater summer camp btwn the ages of like 8-11 and would play with some of my friends. i also watched the black and white anime when my family got netflix and watched a playthrough of x and y done by the first youtuber i ever found, swimmingbird941.
