I hope you know these are just trolls! I don't see any reason why you shouldn't love Regina and CS. And if you help other CS shippers discover what an amazing character Regina is, that's great :D Why would any Evil Regal want to discourage people from talking about Regina and discussing her character and try to stop people from being her fans just because they also like CS? That's nonsense.

I agree with everything you say, nonnie. They are just trolls. I always remember that they do not reflect the beauty that the ER fandom has to offer- because I’ve met some incredible people. As I always say: “every fandom has assholes.” And yes, It is completely self-defeating to try to encourage people in wider fandom to dislike the thing that you like.

I don’t know how many CS shippers I’ve helped see Regina in a different light, but I know I’ve made some good friendships in both fandoms. Even if they don’t see what I see, they can appreciate that I have a different POV. I am hoping that the longer I’m here, speaking positively for both, the more people can see the beauty I see in both Regina and CS.

My greatest wish is for people to ask how I feel about something and not just assume. Because anyone who knows me, knows I love Captain Swan and Regina. There’s no ‘or’ in there for me.... ever. But, you can’t ask questions about people’s thoughts when you’re busy trolling. Which is why the block button is so nice. ;)

I'm a CS primarily, and not a huge Regina fan. Sometimes people and certain characters just don't mesh. However, I like having fellow CSers on my dash, like yourself, who like Regina because their posts help me see what others like about her. People should just keep it moving instead of this gatekeeping about who the "most real"fans are. You like her? You're an ER. You like CS? You're a CSer. What's so hard to understand? Keep doing you. :)

Thank you! I agree entirely. I know there are many CSers who don’t like Regina. Just as there are many ERs who don’t like CS. That’s okay. Everyone is allowed to like and dislike whatever characters/ ships they want. Also, for the record (because the anon really made me mad about this), it’s okay to be primarily CS! If you are a CS/ER, it’s okay to enjoy CS a little or a lot more. If you’re a CS/ER, it’s okay to enjoy Regina a little or a lot more. It’s all good. As my friend, @capitaine-odette would say: there’s no litmus test for what makes one a good fan.

I just don’t understand how people who want others to like their favorites would attack those (like me) who say they do… just because they also like something they don’t. What benefit is that? I openly support Regina’s role on the show. I also support Lana. Do these gatekeepers want me to stop? That’s one less voice advocating positively for both. Self-defeating there, isn’t it?

I love Emma and Jen. I love Hook and Colin. I love Regina and Lana. It doesn’t get much more simple than that. But if anyone knows where the Official Regina Mills Fan Test is, I will gladly take it to prove once and for all that I love her… provided the test fee is no greater than $5.00 (Lydia is broke, and needs to eat- priorities!!!!)
