Your physics are spot on, the velocity you got is in the low range of terminal velocity for animals but she didn't fall quite far enough to reach terminal (for a human ~1800feet) so I think you're pretty much right! I mean the only way to get more accurate would be to set up an integral. Despite saying you're not a physicist, as an aerospace engineer I can back you up and say you nailed it.
@notadrde - Oh, cool! That’s actually really cool to know, thank you! I’m glad my algebra-based physics class was actually useful for something, and that it checks out (for the most part) against more involved mathematics!
