from a fandom standpoint, I wish all streaming networks were like hulu and released one episode a week instead of dropping an entire season all at once. because then there's a slower burn, time to get the word out (especially because streaming services seem mostly terrible at advertising), and time to build theories, speculate, and make fan content before interest wanes again. these days, it seems like by the time I hear about a show or have the time to watch the entire thing, fan interest is already cooling off, and while I’d like to write some fic or do some art, it’s like, by the time I finish will anyone even care anymore?
and selfishly, it’s nice to have 2 months of having something to look forward to every week. and to be able to form new communities and make new friends to speculate with. I guess you can sort of get that between seasons, but idk, it’s just not the same.
