A friendly reminder
Sometimes we don't want to argue with people and that's fine. Sometimes we want to keep our posts free of trolling and/or negativity and that's fine. Sometimes we're too tired to deal with someone or something, and that's absolutely valid.
Tumblr allows us to filter tags, delete notes and block users for a reason.
You should never try to convince yourself that if you don't reply to every single comment or addition you're somehow wrong in what you think. You're not censoring others or depriving them of their freedom. This is your own space and you should feel free to share it with whoever you want.
Surround yourself with nice people. Filter the tags that you don't like or the content that might trigger you. Block the people you don't wanna interact with. Delete the comments that seem pointless if you want... that's how you can keep having fun in a fandom while staying away from the trolls and unnecessary drama.
THAT *O****** DIDNT HELP AT ALL
IM SCARED I DONT WANNA GET ANON HATE THREATENING TO KILL ME
I'm noticing this trend of "diagnosing" characters with personality disorders and mental illnesses, and I know that psychology is an interesting topic, but I wish people did more serious research on their "fan-diagnoses" before posting or reblogging them.
I've noticed that most of the information they're spreading is incorrect or misunderstood and -although these headcanons are for fictional characters- real people who struggle with mental illnesses have to live with them 24/7 and the stigma surrounding their diagnoses isn't a joke.
Maybe I'm just being too dense, but I really can't ignore it.
In my country, psychologists spend 5 years of their lives learning the correct way to diagnose people, and even the psychology students who use diagnostic manuals regularly need a professional's guidance the first hundred times because DIAGNOSING IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NEVER BE TAKEN LIGHTLY and it definitely isn't as simple or easy as checking a list of symptoms...
...Reading a wikipedia article or watching a Kati Morton video isn't enough research and it doesn't make people experts on the topic. Please remember this when reading fan headcanons.
Mental health shouldn't be trivialized...
***please don't try to turn this into cheap tumblr drama. I'm talking about a trend instead of specific content creators for a reason.
I'm not throwing shade to anyone in particular because i've seen at least 4 different posts tonight and I'm pretty sure that the authors just weren't aware of what I said.
Heck, even other psychology students @ my uni didn't take it as seriously as I did.

Any suggestions?
Clearing out my screencap folders!
So there's going to be a lot of posts - if you need to avoid image-heavy things for whatever reason, I'm trying to tag them all "screenshot" for blacklisting purposes. Also, I suggest clicking on them because they're often bigger than they appear, and/or captioned.
Tumblr occasionally does put fandom relevant things on there. This, in particular, amuses me.
