FINALLY got around to watching Outlander - Monsters and Heroes and hoo boy am I glad I did. I knew the whump would be fantastic because I read the book, but it was still glorious to witness and reminded me of two tropes I'd forgotten how much I'd loved:
The "we're technically on the same side but don't trust/like each other very much, but oh no now you're dangerously injured/sick and I have to take care of you will this lead to us actually understanding one another a little better and maybe becoming a proper team??" trope And of course the "you take care of me a lot and always end up gently poking fun at my stupidity/stubbornness or being stern with me that I got myself into danger like this but now you're just being really gentle and kind and haven't snapped at me once oh god what does this mean am I dying" trope
