The Poetry of Earth (Geophony) - Aizen Sōsuke × Reader

This has lived in my mind's eye for so long. Finally putting this on virtual paper feels so good. I was going to wait for the weather to be right, but Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

Thanks to @mukenaizen for being my accidental beta-reader when Tumblr posted this too early. Honestly, it was a good confidence boost.

We're counting this for "Absence that Aches" on the bingo card.

It lives like the sound of gentle tides and the warmth of sunlight in your memory. A vision burned into your eyelids and dreams, of the rise and fall of his chest beneath the sheets. Soft pillows doused in the scent of the two of you. Beyond the bedding, he's left the sliding doors open to watch the rain dripping off of the eaves and beyond the engawa.

Summer in Seireitei didn't have enough days like that, when the rain brought much-needed succor from the heat. Mornings where he could take the glasses off and just lay in bed with you and admire both the sight of you in afterglow and the rain. Life seemed so slow and easy back then, when the two of you could exist in moments where time, too, seemed to bend to his will.

You still recall the way his scent mixed with the rain, ozone and amber blending with the petrichor. The way his neck muscles flexed when he moved his head to face you. The unending fire burning in his eyes and subtle softening of harsh angles when his gaze rediscovered you.

"Have I rendered you speechless, my dove?"

You used to worship that devious smile and that wickedness he once kept private. Even his voice, so much softer than the tone that once commanded hollows, blends with the sound of the rain in your memory.

Your heart skipped a beat as the blankets shifted with his body, twisting to face you. And then his lips found your own again, returning to once more steal your very breath. His mouth burned your skin as he moved down to grace your neck with the same rare adoration. Aizen's broad hand left your face to press into the tatami and hold himself up over you as his knees slid between your legs again.

"I think this weather will keep us out of the lab today. Don't you agree?"

He had you again, then. He sighed against your skin when he pressed himself into your heat. He lost himself in idle appreciation of your curves and the thrill of playing your body like a well-loved instrument, pulling pretty sounds from your lips with deft fingers. Your own hands were drawn in by the way his hair framed his face, disheveled and looking so much like the reserved lieutenant he once was.

He wound your body up with slow, savouring rolls of his hips, until he'd pulled madness and doubt and thought from your mind. And as your pleasure began to crest, he began to speak of things that a man like Aizen Sōsuke had no right to profess. Things that you hear in faint echoes on the wind, even now.

A hand found your jaw to guide your eyes to his own, so he could revel in your expression as you came apart underneath him. So he could see that precise moment where your heart was his, before he too gave in to the crashing waves between you.

The emotion he held in his expression in the aftermath, of something deep and whole, comes to you in quiet moments. Ah, what you wouldn't give to waste another day with him like that. Even now, the rain falls and you'd swear you can feel-

But no.

Your bed is empty now. The rain bitterly cold.

It's been a year since he stepped through that Garganta. A year since his sentencing. A year since he last held you in his arms. A year since your heart was whole.

But before that all-consuming loneliness swallows you, a thought worms its way in: in time, you'll both move mountains to reach each other. He's done crazier things, hasn't he? Haven't you?

Fandom Bingo: Bleach

It's been a while since we last did one of these, but I had some time recently so I put one together for the manga/anime series Bleach! One of my origin fandoms so I definitely wanted to do this one sooner or later.

There are quote prompts and more general prompts to choose from, it's multifandom as usual, and you can sign up for up to 4 cards.

It's multifandom, so feel free to write for any fandom you want.

Each submitted fanwork should be new and complete, but it can be a standalone, part of a series, or one chapter of a multi-chaptered fic.

This bingo is primarily geared towards fanfic, but any medium is fine if you feel you can do it.

For fanfic, the minimum is 100 words with no maximum.

You can use fanworks submitted for this event for other events as well, so long as it’s okay with the other side too.

While signups are only open for a month, there is no time limit for completing a card.

This bingo offers 3x3 cards. Everyone can sign up for a maximum of FOUR cards.

To get a bingo, you can aim for three in a row/column/diagonal line, corners, borders, or a blackout.

Adrenaline was a hell of a drug, and it was Bazz-B's drug of choice. He'd tried many different substances over these 1000 years, looking for anything to silence the screams echoing through the darkness and dim the flames while he tried to sleep. Nothing worked the same way. Every other substance — from cocaine to acid — made the nightmares more vivid, like he could reach out and touch those blue flames. Nothing would help him sleep at night like working himself into exhaustion.

Jugram comes across Bazz-B trying to train himself to exhaustion, and helps him fall asleep.

Written for @fandombingo‘s Bleach Bingo. I got the prompt “Devotion Outweighing Duty” and had to do something for these two. Please Enjoy!
