the mentions of sanjis vampire wife reminded me of the vampire whitebeards au with feral vampire ace and Swan. So I went back and reread that oneshot and now I have questions lol. Apologies in advance for trying to drag this au out of retirement /j

Did ace feel like a monster for shouting at swan and scaring her into crying? I don't know if ace has similar hang ups to his canon self, but I still feel like he'd feel awful for hours after scaring and acting so threatening to his gf regardless.

Also, after the whitebeards got over their frustration with ace not using protection, did they also get protective over swan and the baby? Like, should swan and ace be expecting some of aces siblings to make unplanned visits to them on their road trip thing? Would ace stop by wherever whitebeard stays primarily and have whitebeard try and convince them both to stay at least until the babies born, if not longer? I could see him doing that, especially with the argument that it would be better for all of them to have marco treat her during her pregnancy, and that's easier to do if they aren't traveling in an RV. Ultimately though, whitebeard is probably just excited to be a gramps now. He's almost definitely wanted grandkids to spoil for a while, im sure of it. And while it may have been an accident, now his youngest is gonna be a dad and pops would be such a supportive parent for ace and Swan.

Would swans diet have to change with a half vampire (dhampir i think?) kid on the way, like needing blood too? Or could she still eat just normal human food? Or maybe a mix where she eats human food but eats her meat more rare or something idk.

I have many more thoughts but this already feels like a ton to ask, so I'll leave it here.

Yes, Ace did feel horrendous afterward about scaring Swan. He really didn't mean to get so aggressive, but he was straight up panicking after he found the pregnancy tests. Especially since he was worried that she was hiding it because she wanted to leave him. Later on after they've both calmed down, he is openly sulking about how he reacted. He'd probably even encourage her to hit him to get him back for it (Swan refuses).

As much as the Whitebeard's would love to periodically check in on him, it's really hard for vampires to be nomadic given that sunlight is lethal to them. Ace's set up, while effective, is very unusual and controversial. Mostly because of how high risk it is since he could be killed by the curtains falling down (meant to mirror how dangerous Striker is for him as a devil fruit user).

Fortunately, they don't need to come to him because he would go straight to them with Swan. He's scared for her safety and health, and he realizes that Marco is their safest bet. He already intends to stay with them until after the birth.

Everyone is a little annoyed with Ace for reproducing, but they accept some blame for not giving him the vampiric birds and the bees talk. What's done is done, so they primarily focus on Swan and the baby, and yes they are all very overprotective over them. If any vampires not affiliated with them come prowling around from the smell of her, they will dealt with swiftly.

I feel like Swan could technically survive off regular human food, but that also consuming blood would be healthiest for the growing dhampire. Thatch starts by mixing in small amounts with her food and drinks, but the deeper into the pregnancy she is, the more she craves it. Before long, she's drinking cups of it straight.

Whitebeard is eager to have a grandchild, though he didn't expect it to come from his youngest. He's also surprised about his grandchild being a dhampire, but he isn't complaining. That baby is going to be spoiled rotten.

Okay, so I saw your Virus reader meets sun and moon art, saw something that looked vaguely like a bracelet, and went ham on it. XD

I've always liked Sun and Moon subtly being a bit possessive and also giving hand made gifts. So a "friendship" bracelet seemed perfect, and also the exact thing your reader wouldn't realize was flirting. I added the little bell as a nod to their costumes. Alternatively, maybe Eclipse made it, given the designs duality? Up to author interpretation. :D

The design came from the site BraceletBook and is alpha bracelet pattern #112502. I'm just glad I had prior experience with bracelet making, so I only needed one tutorial video to know how to do the triangular ends.

This took about 3 days of work, give or take? Most of it was done during a movie marathon over the weekend. (You can't see in the pic, but I even sewed on some black felt on the back to hide all the ugly parts where thread criss-crosses all over.)

Alrighty, so I was looking at your mermaid bushmed stuff, and it's all super fun. But I noticed there's a lot of focus on mer medic and human sniper, I think I saw only one post mentioning the reverse? I was wondering if you had any ideas for mer snipes and human medic? It mentioned mer sniper being caught and given to medic for research, and i think that's got some interesting possibilities. Especially if medic ever decided to free sniper, which could probably get him fired/in huge trouble/maybe in danger(?) if he was caught doing it? (I also like the idea of kinda feral shark mer sniper, and the probably extra sharp teeth he would have, ngl.) Idk, I just have mermaid bushmed brainrot and enjoy seeing aus getting flipped.

i think it would be fun for sniper to have gotten caught by mann co somehow and given to medic to do Whatever with (with medic being his "Canonical" organ-harvesting, animal-loving self!) and gazing upon sniper and Of Course being EXTREMELY ELATED that hoo! a merperson!! i personally think sniper's fish-half would be a spotted wobbegong as i said in that post too!! ^u^

tbh the Main reason i didn't go with a mersniper in this one is because i actually have a "were-crocodile" sniper/human researcher medic au that i ALSO want to write a little something for, and i try to keep it balanced as far as who gets the "Beastie Treatment" so that both of them have some time in each role! ^v^ i think medic and sniper are both characters who would Love being supernatural/mythical creatures so it offers a lot of fun dynamics!

either way, i think a researcher medic/Creature Sniper is VERY fun... i love that idea a LOT!! ^v^ you actually make me want to elaborate more on my werecroc au..! heuhueue!! i think researcher medic is definitely compelling and the dynamic of master/experiment Definitely suits bushmed since it reminds me so much of their "canonical" dynamic!!! HEHEE!!

for my mer au though, sniper WILL be able to Become a merperson himself with the help of Convenient Mermagic! hoo! and yes.. he would Absolutely have sharp teeth.,. huhuh.,. >u< i think medic does too! sharp teeth and claws, with patches of their "fish patterns" on their human skin up their body, too! they'd of course keep their human body hair and fat on their human halves as well ^v^!!

Im glad you dont mind my questions! So heres more thoughts for the vampire au!

In this au, are the marines like, an organization of supernatural creature hunters? I could see akainu as like, a super fanatical hunter of some kind.

How at risk is swan actually? Im sure there's a chance of a hunter or two finding out about her and attacking, like ace thinks. But like, if word were to get out about them, would hunters actually try and track her down and kill her over it? It has me wondering if they would also kill or hurt someone who didn't know the babies other parent was a vampire?

Would the whitebeards also go as far as keeping swan inside during the day for the duration of her pregnancy? Since they also have the same limitation of not being able to help her if a hunter attacked during the day. It sounds like if swan wanted to safely go outside during the day she'd have to find a non vampire ally of either ace or the whitebeards who is willing and able to escort her. If that's not an option, uh, guess she gets vitamin d supplements and maybe a room with a sun lamp to keep her healthy?

Would aces brothers find out about him having a kid at some point? Im pretty sure I remember it being mentioned that other characters/crews are probably different supernatural creatures, so if sabo or luffy wanted they could probably visit ace (maybe even mid travels) and see their new nephew/niece. I feel like luffy would just be excited at the idea of his brother having a kid. Meanwhile sabo is probably team "slap him over the head for being a dumbass who didn't use protection".

Yeah, the Marines in this setting would be monster hunters essentially.

The amount of danger Swan is in depends on the hunter. Some are more empathetic and see her as a victim to a silver tongued vampire that's taking advantage of her. Others think she's just as bad as the monsters for associating with them. The baby is in considerably more danger, though. Even the most understanding of hunters don't want a dhampire walking around.

Swan is kept inside during the day and given supplements to make up for it. She was resistant at first, but they scared her into cooperating by telling her just how dangerous monster hunters can be.

I know we talked about what Sabo and Luffy would be in this AU at some point, but I'll be damned if I can remember what they were lol. On the bright side, Ace trusts them enough to let them take Swan out for a walk during the day. Much to Ace's mortification, they do reveal just how young he is lmao

So like, I've been reading through your one piece aus, and all of them are great. I really like lucky break and solitude in particular, they give me many brainworms.

I'm not sure if the whole deal with thatch and blackbeard goes down like in canon in solitude. I hope not, for menaces sake. All my questions I have here are kinda under the idea that thatch lives and the crew doesnt separate like in canon.

I'm curious about what menace would be like as they grow up. It sounds like given enough time they do choose to stay with the whitebeard crew, and stop running away. So assuming they grew up on the crew, would they change any in a few years time? Become slightly less feral/better at socializing?

What role would they take on the crew, if any? I'm not sure whether I'd guess something cooking related to stick close to thatch, or maybe something for ships maintenance since they are good at navigating the bowels of the Moby dick?

I'm not sure if it's been stated, but do they have any particular weapon/fighting style they would lean towards? I know they have their knife, and probably fight like a feral animal right now (biting and clawing). But would they be interested in learning to use any other weapons or actual hand to hand? Or stick with what they know?

Well, whether or not the story follows the canon series of events depends on which timeline you choose to read, as explained here. No matter which one you choose though, Thatch still gets stabbed. The initial difference between each timeline is whether he survives it or not.

As of chapter 2, Menace is already starting to accept the Whitebeard's, with the exception of Blackbeard who looks too much like their parents' murderer for their comfort (and then goes on to act like him too lol). Thatch being stabbed is what cements their loyalty to the crew. If he survives, they essentially become his second shadow. They take to squeezing themselves into the infirmary bed he's recovering in because they're terrified that Blackbeard might come back to finish the job, or that Thatch might simply die of complications from his wound. The role that they take on in this au is primarily in the kitchen. While Menace does become a decent cook over the years, they specialize in hunting and foraging for food.

If Thatch doesn't make it, they forcibly invite themselves on Ace's revenge mission. They're tired of pirates killing their family, and this time they want to do more than just burn his flag. Since the crew falls apart and disbands in canon, they don't really have a clear role. They just stick by the remaining members and guard them with their life. Honestly, Izou would probably still live in this au because of how overprotective they become of those who are left.

As for their fighting style, they primarily rely on their knife, and later their father's rifle once they get strong enough to handle it. There is another thing they use to fight, but that's a spoiler for chapter 3. You'll have to wait for that one ;)

Nori for sure. I'm so cold all the time. I always have 2 comforters & a heated blanket. Oliver doesn't mind tho, his T means he hardly gets cold anyway.

35. What are their tastes in music?

According to Dogman oliver likes freddy mercury i think? i also headcanon him to be a fan of indie rock & grunge. Nori ofc likes jpop and electroswing.

Bonus! 30. Pet names? Yes or no?

yes! the classic ones like babe & honey are obvious, but Oliver also likes to come up with silly things that stem from his fucked up slang. Nori uses insults as a love language and will call him "cringemobile" (real thing i say often) and "oliveman"
