Please ignore the last question, something did go wrong... Do you have any headcanon for Portugal and Netherlands? ♥️

Thanks for the question! 😊 Portugal is barely more than a name in canon and Netherlands isn’t much better so I’ve had to essentially make up a lot, I hope this is all right!

Netherlands

He has an excellent poker face, he looks serious all the time. Sometimes, he enjoys taking advantage of it by screwing around with people. Nobody can ever tell if he’s joking or being serious, he sends them in total confusion. The fact he’s serious 90% of the time doesn’t help.

A hobby of his is woodcarving. He finds it relaxing and he’s very good at it.

He also likes gardening and he’s very knowledgeable about flowers and plants.

He’s a total introvert, he always needs some time alone to recharge after being with people.

He appreciates silence. In fact, his favourite way to spend time with his family and loved ones is simply to be in the same room, each doing their own stuff. For the most time, the proximity is all he needs.

He’s an early riser, he loathes ‘wasting’ his morning in bed;

It’s really hard for him to fall asleep in unfamiliar places, though;

Fortunately, he doesn’t need much sleep. He can go several days with only a few hours and feel fine.

He’s excellent at doing maths in his head. Very fast, too.

He generally keeps a coldly detached yet polite demeanour with people he doesn’t know well, but if somebody pushes his boundaries, he’s quick to put them in place with a sharp tongue that can fall into rudeness;

In spite of this, he’s very kind and patient with children. While he doesn’t actively seek them out, he’s very nice when they interact with him and doesn’t try to push them away.

He also ends up being a huge softie with the few people he truly cares about. Belgium and Luxembourg have him wrapped around their fingers, they only need to ask/manifest some turmoil and he’ll do his best to satisfy them. He’s also extremely protective.

He’s very observant and an excellent judge of character;

Lying to him is almost impossible.

He’s not one for holding grudges. He recognizes when both parts would benefit more from an accord and doesn’t shy back from it.

He has very much a ‘the end justifies the means’ kind of mentality. He won’t do something clashing with his moral code, but nothing holds him back from bending the rules a little.

Portugal

He tends to present himself as very friendly and laid-back, but he can be ruthless when provoked. In fact, it’s best not to provoke him.

He’s very confident in his abilities. Sometimes, he reaches the point of overconfidence.

He’s a good fighter in general, but what he truly excels in is fencing. Very few can compete with him there.

He’s also a good teacher, he’s patient, and he doesn’t mind taking the time to repeat until his pupils have understood.

He’s an excellent cook.

He likes taking it easy and having time to relax each day, but he also does his best to be always in good shape. Every day, he exercises a bit or at least goes out for a run;

He’s quite an active person, in fact. He’s not hyperactive nor does he stresses himself, but he genuinely finds physical activity enjoyable and it helps him let off steam.

He definitely has a tendency for being a night-owl, but he actually is quite adaptable. He can also wake up early without issues, as long as he also went to be earlier.

He’s one of those people who fall asleep the exact second their head touches the pillow, and about everywhere.

He isn’t good at planning, he’s more one for improvising.

He has always loved all the aspects of navigation. Studying the charts, the sky, how to build ships… even in modern days, he prefers ships to planes.

He gets attached to people very easily.

He’s not very prickly or easy to upset – but if he does end up upset, he doesn’t forgive so easily.

I loved your headcanons for Netherlands and Portugal... Can you give me some more, but now for: Macau, Monaco and Luxemburg? ♥️

Thank you, I’m really glad you enjoyed those! 😊 And of course I can! (The disclaimer that these are all very minor characters and their canon characterization isn’t solid still stands, but I’ll do my best.)

Macau

Generally, he’s the sane mane in the room.

He never lets his emotions cloud his judgement but always analyses the situation rationally – but without forgetting how much emotions tend to influence people’s reactions, too. The solution he proposes is always a good mediation between and emotional-based and rational-based approach.

He’s a very good mediator.

He tends to put other people’s preferences and wishes above his own for the sake of everybody getting along – only as long as it doesn’t damage him.

He’s a good listener, too, and good at reading people;

Actually, he’s good with people in general – both with making them at ease, making them feel appreciated, and also giving them a gentle push when they need to.

He’s a very discreet person and he doesn’t put his nose where it doesn’t belong;

Ironically, the result is that Macau will always know everything that goes around as everybody, knowing he won’t talk, tells him confidential information or seeks him for advice.

He’s very organized and tidy.

He has good foresight. He never lets himself be taken by random whims but always considers the consequences of his actions;

At times, he does take risks, but they’re always calculated.

He isn’t selective about the people he can interact with, he offers his friendship to anybody who wishes to take it;

And if people betray his trust, well… it’s their loss. Macau doesn’t waste his time by being bitter, he keeps being polite and moves on. He does distance himself from that person, though.

He has a good mind for business.

He doesn’t have a confrontational nature. He avoids open conflicts, instead, he lets other people run their tongue only to later do whatever he pleases.

Monaco

She’s an overachiever. She always pushes himself to her limit, and once she has reached a goal, she only gives herself a moment to celebrate before moving onward towards the next target.

She takes care of herself, though. She’s aware she can be at the peak of her productivity only if she doesn’t burn out, so she’s careful to plan for some breaks (even if the minimal possible amount), too.

She has a very preppy and energic demeanour. One of those people who never look tired, always ready to brave a mountain.

She can have a bit of a tunnel vision. Once she is focused on an objective, she might tend to overlook the consequences – sometimes, she needs somebody else calling her out.

She’s an extrovert and always ready to make new friends.

She doesn’t throw herself at new activities but always observes a bit from the sidelines – then, after she’s sure she has grasped how everything works, she joins in. She does like trying new things, though.

She’s very headstrong and confident in her abilities – once she’s set on something, making her change idea is extremely hard.

She can be a bit bossy, even if she doesn’t mean to. In particular, if she’s interacting with somebody not as strong-willed as she is, she isn’t very mindful and there’s a high chance she will prevaricate that person without even realizing she has done so.

She likes being helpful and putting her skills into use. When there’s something to be done and she knows she’s the right person for it, she immediately volunteers.

She has a very good sense of fashion. He favourite style is simple and classy, but all the details are always carefully planned and she looks glamorous. Never a hair out of place.

She’s always informed about what’s going on in the world and very involved.

She’s a multitasker, never wasting a moment. For example, each time she’s doing something manual she’s also listening to a podcast/the news, because why should she waste that time, right?

Great organization skills.

While she’s physically fit (ballet does this to a person) she doesn’t enjoy playing team sports, she’d rather watch from the sidelines and cheer on her friends.

Cat lover.

Luxembourg

He isn’t very athletic. In general, the peak of his physical activities is taking a stroll.

He’s such a workaholic that he can even forget to eat. If he’s focused on a task, he barely registers the passing of time.

He is physically unable to relax unless all the work is done. Even if he’s forcibly taken away, his mind keeps going back to what he still needs to accomplish.

Insomniac. He can be found working in the middle of the night as he couldn’t fall asleep so he decided to make the best out of it.

Drinks tons of coffee for productivity and then chamomile tea to calm his nerves. It’s unclear whether this works or not, but he has convinced himself it does.

He has a hidden mischievous side and likes pranking people he’s close to. He doesn’t do it often, though – it’s something he reserves for special occasions;

And strictly for people he’s very close to, in particular. With everybody else, he’s the picture of politeness and charm.

Nobody would be able to tell, but he swears a lot. He restrains himself in public, though. Only his family knows.

Really good at budgeting but still keeps a high-standard lifestyle. He just knows all the places to buy quality stuff without spending too much and takes advantage of good deals.

He’s a good balance between introvert and extrovert. He likes socializing and is good with people, and at the same time, he can also appreciate some alone time.

He has a big sweet tooth and often indulges in it as he’s aware that he can afford it – he has a very good metabolism, he’s thin no matter what he eats.

He isn’t a great cook and he doesn’t like ‘wasting’ time on that. If it weren’t for the pre-cooked and frozen meals Belgium often prepares for him, he would always eat takeaway or supermarket frozen stuff.

Since he’s often too busy to see his siblings, he makes a point to write them a message/give a call almost daily.

He’s fully aware of the importance of social media from a promotional POV/their utility to monitor tendencies and is very active on several platforms.

Extraordinarily fast at typing.

I know I'm demanding, so please your time 💕 Can you do more headcanons... But know for Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong? I'm trying to draw them (for a contest), and then I realized that I don't know much about them 🤗

Don’t apologize, it’s no problem! 😊 I actually don’t know too much about these characters either, it’s a nice opportunity to try to flesh them out a little in my mind.

Taiwan

She’s a huge animal lover;

She has adopted tons of strays she came across and, since she can’t adopt everybody, she also volunteers in a lot of shelters and does her best to make sure those animal are taken care of.

She loves fashion and fashion design. She made part of her wardrobe herself and she also likes creating clothes for her family and friends.

She’s good at arts and craft in general, too. She’s good at drawing, painting, but also things such as making paper decorations and assembling jewellery/bracelets.

She likes sharing what she loves or is good at with her loved ones. It happens a lot with her cooking, in particular.

She can be a bit clumsy at times as she has a tendency to day-dream and lose focus of her surroundings.

She often sings under her breath when she’s anxious, she finds it soothing.

Really good and sweet with young children.

She can be very stubborn. In particular, she can’t stand for her loved ones to neglect their health and will pester them until they take care of themselves.

While she’s an extrovert, she can also be shy at first and is easily intimidated by people she respects, in particular.

She’s usually nice but she really can’t hide when she doesn’t like somebody – in that case, she’s irritated by every small thing and won’t refrain from remarking on it.

Quite witty and sarcastic if annoyed.

South Korea

Very high energy levels and needs little sleep.

He’s genius-level smart, but he needs to be completely taken by a project to apply himself to it.

Very curious, he has tons of interests – in particular, those that somehow include technology. (He likes computers in general and coding; digital photography; digital arts; video editing; sound recording…)

A big talent of his is photography. He’s really good at it.

He loves teaching other people what he knows.

He’s very fond of physical contact – so, he also likes petting zoo a lot, he finds them soothing.

He talks extremely fast but somehow still clearly.

He has a big presence on social media. His Instagram, in particular, is very curated as he loves photography so much.

He’s very athletic and plays a lot of sports. He’s particularly fond of team sports.

Generally good-natured and not easy to anger, he tends to laugh off things instead of taking them personally.

He tries to see something good in everything and everybody.

High self-confidence and very hard (impossible, almost) to embarrass.

Hong Kong

Tendentially introverted, it takes him a bit to warm up to people.

Cares a lot about his appearance and clothes and is quite knowledgeable about fashion;

He has a good eye, too – always chooses clothes and colours that fit him.

Can be very mischievous if he’s in the mood for it/is mad at somebody – rather than expressing his disappointment openly, he’ll try to annoy that person.

He holds grudges for very long.

Very headstrong and determined.

Has a tendency of being very sharp-tongued and sarcastic.

Good at business and finding good investments.

He also has a strong presence on social media and enjoys it a lot.

He’s a bit closed-off, he isn’t good at expressing his emotions or fondness for other people and he ends up being kind of flustered and clumsy when he wants to do that;

He prefers expressing his fondness with small attentions and nice gestures rather than words.

He likes reading, but prefers digital books to paper editions.

And I should have probably added it myself because... I don’t know if it’s just a Lisbon thing or something widespread in Portugal in general, but... those gorgeous items made with cork? Surely, Portugal would be able to make those himself! So yeah, he’s definitely good with his hands.
