I’m finishing a few things up and then we are done for the weekend. Zelda is off at camp until Tuesday and we have nothing to do other than take it easy, mix good drinks, make good food, and be excellent to each other.

One of my favorite places in the world.
Fanelli's Cafe on Prince & Mercer St in SOHO new york near 1am one evening
Getting a liqour license downtown is one of the hardest things to do. In 1877, it was a bit easier; all you had to do was bribe an official and serve hard boiled eggs at your bar. This photo was taken in the back of Fanelli's, the iconic Soho bar. The license dates back to 1877 and it is the oldest liqour license I have ever seen in person.
