Mushroom states that the morning of the “Great Green wedding” was met with cries of outrage and a search of the Keep that had the Kings guard out well past noon. The would be wedding of the Princess Helaena, a girl of only thirteen, and her older brother Aegon, who had just passed his fifteen name day. Was set to start that morning with more then half the kingdoms lords and ladies in attendance.
Though it is said that those who did not did so out of disgust for the young age of the sweet bride as she was a full three years too young to be considered marriageable. While others simply did not attend out of loyalty to their future Queen. As The Heir to the throne was not invited to the royal event by her step mother.
Queen Alicent used the recent marriage of Princess Rhaenyra to her uncle Prince Daemon and the anger the King held at how soon after the passing of her late lord husband, it had happened to not include her. The greens would call this a win, a chance to bring more houses to the side of the “Rightful Heir” Prince Aegon.
The Blacks would laugh.
Would anyone wanna read a one shot of Helaena not marrying Aegon? I got an idea from a story I read. I just wanted to know if anyone would want to read it?
