the surround sound disoriented me
right now im older than ive ever been
needles and needles and needles and now
im here, im foolish, and im wide awake.
yours might last a day, mine is forever.
the doctors called it persistent evil,
a craziness embedded in your head,
in control somewhere just behind your eyes.
the smell of angels makes me weep in love,
leaning into your arms as you laugh loud,
i could do something simply awful and
hurt you with my hands to see what its like.
rippling movements lie under my skin.
I look in the mirror through the dust glow,
growing inside me, the daughter of Cain,
anticipation.
