Warglobe, Tildr, & Greeble?
Yesssss Warglobe. this is a fun one
So, in early 2017 I decided to finally get a mirror since it was the only dragon breed I still didn't have in my lair. I ended up picking up two mirrors, one of whom was Marglobe. Marglobe's red/white color scheme made me think of Nintendo, so I jokingly considered naming him Itsami (ie it's-a me, Mario) but couldn't really commit, and decided that he should be a tomato farmer, which felt fitting for his fiery red glimmer. So I looked up varieties of tomatoes and landed upon Marglobe. It sounded fun, and also was very similar to Mario, which given what I had been considering naming him at first, was absolutely perfect. So I named him Marglobe!
and you probably can guess where this is headed. In 2019, I made this post joking about making a Wario counterpart for Marglobe. I didn’t plan on really doing it, but around that time I decided I needed another f pose wildclaw for lair balance reasons so..I figured why not start looking for purple/yellow ones and....there she is, here’s Warglobe :D
Tildr already had his name when I bought him, but MAN do I wish I knew the origin his name! As far as I can tell it’s pretty much unique, so it doesn’t seem to have been from FR’s name generator like I initially thought. What does it mean....
Greeble!! They’re actually Greeble II since..the first dragon I named Greeble didn’t work out for me so I gave him away. But the name was too good not to reuse sdfds
Mostly it’s just a funny sounding word and- oh my god. Wikipedia says it’s pronounced ‘greebli’ i had no idea. i’ve been saying ‘gree-bul’ this whole time. i’m still gonna say ‘gree-bul’ no one can stop me dsafdsf
anyway! i just thought it was neat and sounded fun for a veilspun c: i do have to admit i just got it from this tumblr post and have no real understanding of the concept or what it is sadfsdaf
