           “don’t look at me like that. this isn’t my fault.” adelia practically shouts into the night air, her hands shaking. she had dealt with other werewolves before, but nothing like this. she hadn’t even provoked a pack this time. “i was minding my own business and out of no where----” the shewolf throws her hands into the air. “they were all there and that kid----that kid wasn’t suppose to be there.” she suddenly stops, walking and she’s squatting on the ground, hands on her head. “n-none of this was suppose to h-happen.”

            “christmas is hardly about the religious meaning anymore. sure, some people still put up nativity scenes and all that, but its to cover up how commercialized and selfish the holiday has become.” she could see right through most people and how much they claimed to love the holiday purely out of the spirit of giving and family. there was a significantly smaller portion of the world that actually felt that way. it seemed to get worse with each passing year. “but hey, all i’m asking for this year is to watch a couple of sappy christmas movies and drink my weight in spiked eggnog.”

Moving forward, Jules tapped the shoulder of the person before he could stop himself.

“Y-Y-You dr-d-drop-p-ped-” He tried, too nervous to speak.

Eventually giving up, Jules merely held out their wallet, ducking his head in shame.
