"One cowboy hat. One gun. One seriously BADASS comic drawing, check it out.” Showing him a drawing she’d been scribbling since he crashed. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great buuuut the hat and gun were detailed pretty well. She was proud of it either way.

      ♠𝒩𝒶ℊ𝒾𝓉ℴ;;– It was another one of those days, where he was pulled into the Overwatch base because he’d fallen ill and he scared the ever loving hell out of his mother. But, at least luck was on his side and he made a quicker recovery than before. Maybe it was because of her too, he couldn’t really say so. He’d had worse days and better days, after all.

     He had left the room in the med bay, sitting in one of the outdoor training areas to get fresh air. Something that he knew Angela wouldn’t have really wanted him to do-- But no one was training there so it wasn’t much of an issue. It was the sound of footsteps on the cement behind him that had him turning his head to see who it was.

     ‘ Oh! ‘ The sight of the hat and red serape told him who was. Shifting on the bench slightly, he got ready to get up. ‘ Hello, Jesse. Uhm... I’ll get out of your way if you’re looking to train. Just don’t tell my mother you saw me here. ‘

“Your bosses still want me DEAD so don’t get too comfortable, cowboy.” He’s got a gun trained on him ━ but considering she just patched him up and in-turn saved his life from being ripped apart by a rather unfriendly gang of omnics? It was probably safe to say the woman in red wasn’t about to unload on him. No, but appearances were IMPORTANT.

     💮𝒢ℴ𝓃𝓉𝒶;;– Gonta was surprised when he had walked into the room when he was called. At first, he had wondered if the blanket was the thing Jesse had gotten him-- But that wouldn’t make sense, because why would it need to be hung up like that? How bizarre. But it was when the blanket was lifted that Gonta’s eyes just grew and sparkled. In all honesty, he wasn’t expecting to see the gift underneath. And, without pause, he pulled Jesse into a hug with a big smile on his face.

     ‘ Thank you, dad! Gonta is excited to let friends spend time inside where it’ll be warmer for them! This is one of the best gifts Gonta has received. ‘

     𝄡𝒦ℴ𝓀𝒾𝒸𝒽𝒾;;– Was it his silent crying? His heavy lies to try and cover that and say it was something else? He had no idea what prompted this man to just hug him like this... Still, if his shaking was anything to go by, there was no lying his way around the fact his emotions made him feel terrified. Still, even when confined to Overwatch’s headquarters for what was originally just to get a few bits about his family from him turning into protection after what happened with Talon... He tried so hard not to let himself crack in front of all of them.

     Yet Jesse McCree was the only one who somehow managed to bust his mask, no matter how hard anyone tried. Maybe it was because he was reminded too much of his family in him-- He couldn’t say. But one thing was for sure...

     The hug was more than appreciated. Tears left him as he hid his face and just sobbed for a while. When he was done, he swiped at the remaining tears and gave one final sniffle before giving Jesse a faint: ‘ Th... Thanks... ‘
