Project Announcement

Hello! We are pleased to announce the launch of the Fanlore Project: The Black Phone to archive the various fannish history and activities of this fandom.

What is Fanlore?

Fanlore is a multi-editor wiki recording the history and current state of fan communities. The mission of the Fanlore wiki is to engage fans from a wide variety of communities that create and enjoy fanworks, to provide them with a platform to record and share their histories, experiences and traditions, for both themselves and others. Who are you?

My name is NansenTheCat, and I am the project lead. I set up this wiki because I wanted to document the small yet fascinating TBP fandom! You may also know me as @commonsenseispaineful. I volunteer for Fanlore in my spare time, and am an enthusiastic editor.

What will you be doing?

The goal of this project is to archive the fandom aspects of The Black Phone, ranging from discussions of fanon, meta, fanworks and more! The Fanlore platform is not an encyclopedia, it's focus is on fandom itself. This project is also, as you might have guessed, a work in progress- so for the time being many pages will be sparse or stubs whilst we fill out the wiki framework.

How can I get involved?

Fanlore, like all wikis, is a collaborative effort, and may be edited by anyone. You don't have to be an "expert" on a subject. Adding what you know and feel passionate about are pieces of the puzzle, and ones that hopefully inspire others to expand on the topic. We'd love you to join us by adding your knowledge to the wiki! Otherwise, we welcome you to submit a post that you think is important and worth archiving. You can also ask us anything regarding the project, and we'll get back to you when we can.
