About Me?!
When introducing oneself, especially in college, people will normally just say their major and maybe a movie that they like. I’m going to go a bit more deeper than that.
My name is Zoie, I’m a sophomore in college studying Communication with an emphasis on culture and minoring in Counseling and Applied Psychological Sciences. I hope to do something with teenagers or young adults with both my major and minor because after all, you need good communication skills to be a counselor.
I chose this website because I’ve been using it for years. Six in fact. Four of the years on this website I spent writing fan fiction. I literally cringed writing that last sentence. But hey, I was a sophomore in high school with lots of free time and I bandwagoned on the growing trend. Little did I know that I would become one of the bigger blogs on this website with my following list growing to be over 18,000 and posts getting thousands of shares and likes.
Other than writing, I sang in choir for three years and I thought it was cool to brag that my choir got to sing at Disneyland until some of my new friends in college said they had done it too. It didn’t feel as special of an experience as it once did, but it was a nice thing knowing that the music producer we got to work with let us sing the music from the scene in The Lion King where Mufasa gets trampled to death. I mean, yeah, the scene is so damn tragic and scarring when you see it as a child and even an adult but my choir was in the top percent that got to sing that song. We were elite, mediocre, but elite.
There isn’t much else to me. I’m a kid in college just trying to make it through everything that life throws at her. Life means waking up one day at a time and accepting what that day throws at you. I’ve handled everything that I’ve been given well so far, I hope to make it the rest of the way just as easily.
Thanks for reading.
