First, a fun announcement: I found out last night that I am back in the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts this summer! I'm very excited to be a part of the 2018 season this summer, which will be my 6th as an exhibitor, and the FOA's 86th year in operation! So, here's a little sneak peek at how the painting is going on the first dragon bust cast. I'm using glazing liquid to lower the opacity of my paint so that there is still light getting to the translucent resin underneath. The cast is a bit more green than this photo shows, but here is Dragon cast #2, prepped and ready for patching and paint! I'm still figuring out pricing and setting up an online store, but I will be making a few blanks available online soon. These beasties are 10"x8"x6", made of solid polyurethane resin and weigh in at just over 3 lbs. More info soon! #resincasting #limitededition #sculpture #dragon #creaturedesign #fantasticalbeast
