You know that thing where artists do a month long challange?

Well im joining it

Day 1: Heart

The characters have not been introduced here yet, ill be trying to keep this tober in my private bug universe. Ill explain some stuff later on but for more infodumps you can check me out on my artfol. Some lore there is outdated

Anyway. From left to right: the guys are Amon (blue one, she/her), Tua (chest hole one, they/he), Valandi (red one, she/her) and Mailei (the bottom yellow one, he/him)

The basic gist of this story is that these 4 go on an epic quest to save their kingdom and discover that the magic system they have relied on is the one causing the disaster they want to save the kingdom from. Whopsies

Day 9: Gold

I made it motherfuckers nearly 1/3 of the way there WEEE

Tuas and Valandis first meeting was a bit wild. Valandi was in the middle of a robbery and Tua tried to stop her. That didnt work out for him all that much.

So after discovering that Tua is some freak mission from the suddenly now alive ex-king Valandi decides to let him go if he convinces the king to give her a royal title.

And maybe throw in a cool hat as a treat.

Im changing some stuff in the lore and maybe the designs after i finish some stuff. Not that you would know, i didnt say Tua was a butterfly or that Amon was so too here. Theyre an ant and a beetle now and you know nothing.

Day 8: Worn

The crown that you wear has been worn by many better kings.

Oh yeah Mailei is a prince who rules over the kingdom. Has been for four years. However he never took a title of a king. It never felt right to call himself that.

Ya boi forgot to post for a few days. Still at it tho. Maybe a bit late on the making schedule but regardless of the date or the month im planning to push trough to the end

Day 7: Legend

Suposedly when a mage has reached a peak of their power they are visited by a very strange character. Some have taken to calling them Mana- a manifestation of magic itself. They say that it speaks to them, inviting the mages to join them. After that the mage disapears, never to be seen again.

As of the last four years people have wispered of disapearing loved ones more and more. They ocasionally report glimpses of them speaking in hushed tones to an invissible figure a night before their forever departure.

But its just a story so we shouldn’t worry about it that much

Day(s) 3 and 4: Memory shards

Yes having a character with memory loss justifies combining two days shush.

Valandis oldest memory is waking in sleeping compartments of a theatre trouppes tent. Its members seemed to have all died a violent death, she concluded, while wandering around the tent. Her body had burn marks in some places, where mana was the most prevelant, as if someone tried to remove it of her.

But why? Why couldnt she remember a thing and why she felt that bloody headache

Day two the electric boogaloo

Day 2: Dark forest

Same characters as before, but now theyre in the forest and Tua has a shirt.

The closer they got to their destinations the more mana apeared around them. It wasn’t fully developed, but its networks and roots pulsed with light and magical energy
