Fantasy Mechs
A couple fantasy mech illustrations from late last year.
The setting I'm working on has fantasy mechs. They are just really cool! Originally designed to fight the the Chaos Dragons when they emerge from the dreams of their imprisoned God, in times of peace they became weapons of war. Now in the modern day much of the expertise needed to maintain the older mechs has vanished as war ravaged the manufacturing systems needed. newer smaller mecha and power armors have taken the field as designers try to capture the glory of the old days.
The dragons still emerge and great hunts are called to slay them but the cost is higher as the might of the old mechs is sorely missed.

I started this illustration at the beginning of the year and slowly worked at it throughout an extensive art block. But it’s done now and that feels amazing. On to other things!
